I read your post, and if I'm understanding it correctly your question is what is the meaning of technical? Here it is: Main Entry: technical Pronunciation: 'tek-ni-k&l Function: adjective Etymology: Greek technikos of art, skillful, from technE art, craft, skill; akin to Greek tektOn builder, carpenter, Latin texere to weave, Sanskrit taksati he fashions Date: 1617 1 a : having special and usually practical knowledge especially of a mechanical or scientific subject <a > b : marked by or characteristic of specialization <technical> 2 a : of or relating to a particular subject b : of or relating to a practical subject organized on scientific principles <a > c : TECHNOLOGICAL 1 3 a : based on or marked by a strict or legal interpretation b : LEGAL 6 4 : of or relating to technique 5 : of, relating to, or produced by ordinary commercial processes without being subjected to special purification <technical> 6 : relating to or caused by the functioning of the market as a discrete mechanism not influenced by macroeconomic factors <technical> <technical> - technically /-k(&-)lE/ adverb If that wasn't the question, maybe this should have been posted in off topic. |

I don't think you need to worry about personal attacks as the most prolific and least to the point tend not to visit the Tech page....where those that actually want to talk about Ferrais spend there time. |

I have been a member for a little over a year since I bought my 328 and have gotten increasingly frustrated at the way a few people have come to regard this site as being for their personal use with no regard for its purpose. Someone can ask for help researching facts about a Pontiac or the number of factory dealers and suffer personal attacks by those who think nothing of an endless series of posts about a private party in New Jersey. Those posts go on endlessly about how great everyone was with pictures and all. Would it not be appropriate to move those to a "personal" section so that the general section is not cluttered up with what is essentially personal correspondance. These are some of the same people who stoop to name calling when someone does not agree with the way their posts on an issue are going. Witness the stifling of debate about how to honor Jens. I have visited a number of other Ferrari sites and find them populated by people who post serious and interesting questions about the marque and good answers follow. None of the nonsense that is increasingly becoming the hallmark of this site. Final thought, the more I read many the puerile posts of some of the more prolific members the less interest I have in getting to know amyone else who owns a Ferrari. I expect many personal attacks in response to this post. Know that I do not intend to respond in kind. |
