Hi David, No, that isn't what I mean. The valve is located beneath the water-tank (also a heated bi-metal). Thick rubber air-hoses are connected to it. One hose to the bottom of the airfilter. The other hose to the Bosch mixtureduct near the exhaustmanifold. Thanks David, other idea? Hayo.

Sounds like you're describing the auxilary air valve, which provides extra air, for fast idle, when the engine is cold...The electrical connection is for a small heater which causes the valve to close/open when the engine is cold/hot... If you look carefully, you'll see that the valve connects from one side of the throttle plate to another...When the engine is cold, this valve is open, hence providing a controlled vacuum leak. Since in a cold condition, the engine is provided more fuel, the combination will give you a fast idle. Regards, David |

Still can't figure out whats the use of a air hose, coming from under the Bosch injection mixture duct. How is it operated? It leads to a electrical heated valve beneath the water-expand tank. From there a hose go's to the air filter bottom. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Hayo.
