Interesting with the rear seat belts. I am looking for the rear shoulder belt assembly (maybe from a salvage car) from mid-'92 to '93 for a retro-fit. I too want to keep the little ones safe. |

The belt are Sparcos and I have them cut down to fit my children with just enough length to hold me. (Trust me...that's a lot.) I started with two point belts. Bottom fit the stock bolts, the top is drilled (yes...it was hard to do but kids were worth it.) and a bracing plate was put under the shelf tying both together. I also have leather caps to match the interior should I decide to remove later. - JMG |

JMG. Not to hijack your thread, but curious how you installed the rear seatbelts. Need to replace mine since they won't "lock". Want the young ones safe. Thanks Dave |

As requested in the Mondial T with Tubi thread...here is how I fold my Mondial T Cabriolet top. (Actually, this is how I raise it but you just reverse the process. Top Down, Tonneau in Place
Tonneau Off, Note the Rear of the Top is folder Over the latches. The inside of the buttresses will protect the window from the latches.
Rear shot of the Above. Again note the Latches are covered by the fabric, not the Window.
Raising Top. Really the only tricky part. If you raise the roof without holding the Window section back, it could rip at this point.
Top back up...14 years and still a clear window.
Hope this fully explains it. - JMG |
