Morrie, If you have the original Goodyear tires on the front, replace those too. Old tires and fast driving is a bad combo... |

I have a set of 17 inch wheels with 225's front and 245's rear. They handle noticeably better. However, the stock 16 inch wheels with stock tires are actually nicer for normal or spirited road driving. Better ride and less effort. I have Bridegestone S03's for both so it is a true comparison. I would go to tirerack.com. They have a lot of comparison tests and buyer feedback you can go through. Their tests led me to the S03's and I paln to buy them again. Dave |

My Tires-Toyo/Proxes T1 Front are 225/50 ZR16 and the Rear are 245/45 ZR16 Morrie, Listen to these guys...it makes a world of difference in handling and looks 100 times better cosmetically (See my profile)...the stock tires look goofy. Post a pic of the bad boy! Cheers! |

Morrie, There is a long thread in the Archives, titled, "Max rear tire for a 328". It has a lot of good information regarding size on 328's with some pictures. Tire brand and type is a addressed in a few other threads. I think you will find a lot of agreement on the sizing, but more opinions on the tire type. I am looking at Bridgestone S03's or Goodyear Eagle F1's when my new wheels arrive.

Go bigger, I did the 225/50 and 245/45 on my previous 308, worked great, no rubbing. |

You'll LOVE up-sizing the tires on your stock rims by putting the 225/50's in front and 245/45's on the rear. Really makes cornering much better. It keeps the same diameters (within 1/10") but puts more rubber on the road. I was concerned about it making it more difficult to steer around town, but it's not. I use Yokohamas on all four corners.

My just-bought 328 has 12,000 miles, and the Goodyear Eagles on the rear are just about gone. I'm partial to Toyo T1s and wonder if anyone has experience with them on the 328. the service department where I bought the car advises against going to bigger tires. Should I stay with the 225s on the rear and 205s on the front, or go to 245/225 front/rear? Thanks, |
