Tom, I purchased an Innova 3100 OBD II code reader and read two codes, P0571 and P1569. The P1569 was the first code. Do you have any idea what they mean. I was also able to reset the computer with the tool, no check engine lite yet but I have the same codes pending so I'm sure it will be back on. John |

Tom, The only pin that the Lambo has that the Ferrari dose not is pin 4 chassis ground. I am also going to try another scan tool. I'll let you know how it comes out. Thanks for you help. John |

That may be your problem. If your are lucky though..maybe you can see the wiring going to the plug in the lambo to determine if there is a wire missing from the one in the Ferrari. Some times dealers like to remove one of the terminals in the OBD connector..to foil other garages from scanning the computer. |

Try to scan the car when it is running. This seems to be the only way it will work. |

Tom, Thanks for your reply, maybe I'm doing something wrong. I used a Snap-On scan tool set for the generic mode and got a no communications message from the scanner. I tried the same setup on my Lamborghini and it communicated with that car ok. Any suggestions? BTW mine is a euro car. |

Yes you can. But they will only be emissions related codes. The codes are industry standars so you can find out what they mean,if the scan tool only gives you a numer. The number will be something like this..P0123. emission's codes are supposed to be 3 didgit codes. You can some times get a limited data stream from the car aswell depending on what type of scan tool you have. The Snap-On scan tool seems to work really well for this. |

Does anyone know if it is possible to read any diagnostic codes on a 360 with a Generic OBD II tester? |
