Bill and Rob,
Thanks again....got those schematics. MUCH better than the pdf I had. I can actually read the wire colors. This is one of the reasons why I love Ferrari Chat.

Best,
Jonathan

Bill and Rob,
Thank you both very much!! I have e-mailed you both off line and would appreciate both of your schematics!

Bill, if you have a 3x3 printout I can get, that would be terrific. I will be happy to reimburse you!

Best,

Jonathan

Jonathan,

I was able to open the wiring diagram in the 77 OM and read almost all (99+%) the nomenclature using Adobe Acrobat. My graphics system is running at 1280 x 1024 resoulutiion.

I also have a high resoulution scan of the 78 GTB/GTS wiring schematic that I scanned at work at about 400 x 400 dpi. It's quality is better than the 77 OM document I refer to above. This scan is in the form of a PowerPoint97 file that is 1.241KB in size (best) or 609KB (lighter but also readable) in size. Both are very good but the 1.241KB file is a little darker and sharper.

I was able to print a copy of the 1.241KB file on a large format printer (about 3 x 3 feet) and all the text was readable, but it was more readable on screen.

Email me if you'd like a copy.

Jonathan,

Send me an e-mail as I have already scanned for you all of the schematic pages along with the corresponding legends. It is about 3 megs in total so I can't post it here but the images are very clear and in colour. I got this info out of my 77 GTB owners manual so I figure we both have near the same car. You can e-mail me:

[email protected]

P.S. I see you are looking to change your radio so I scanned the full radio wiring schematic that comes with the owners manual too.

Mike -
not to hijack the thread, but did your fusebox include a relay board?
The fusebox connector on my 3.2, a long thin plastic plug with small spring hairpin clips as female contacts, has proven prone to failure and overheat; was looking at either making a new more robust box (has relays) with a better connector or somehow upgrading my box connector and internals.
Any suggestions?
many thanks
Russ

Hi Mike,
Do you have a scanner? You probably only need to scan your schematic at about 200 dpi. I can put them together in photoshop if you can make the scans!

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the offer. I'm able to figure the stuff out that I need to because I do in fact have a schematic. It's just a lot easier when you know what color wire you're looking for!

Best,
Jonathan

I've got a 78 one that I poured through in the past two weeks.

I remember thinking--this diagram is like gold. I need to preserve it.

The only thing I can think of is a high-res scanner, doing multiple passes, and somebody breaking things up into, say, 4 8.5x11 pages in photoshop that could be taped together...

On the other hand, I think Dave Handa was selling a 197x 308 owners' manual on eBay not too long ago...

A different way to look at this is, is there something specific somebody could help you with? I fabricated a fusebox a few weeks back and basically have all the color codes memorized at the fusebox (I'm totally serious!).

Hi Everyone,
I'm desperate for a decent electrical schematic for my 77 308 GTB. I'm working with the PDF version in the electronic owner's manual I have, but it simply lacks enough resolution to be able to read the wire color codes. (The original scan is not high enough resolution to resolve the tiny little lines that point to each wire with the color). This makes tracing wires about 3 times as much work as it needs to be. I will pay someone for a good quality photocopy of an original schematic from a real authentic owner's manual!! (I didn't get one with the car!) Thanks,

Jonathan
