Mitch, I have a great deal of respect for John Lingenfelter. His site LPE is still very active, however I did not see royal purple, they had red line synthetic which is also very good. Prior to this, its been about a year or so since I have visited his site.

"John Lingenfelter sells it on his site. This guy knows his stuff pretty good." With all due respect, John Lingenfelter is in a coma and has been since November '02. |

James, go to www.royalpurple.com to check it out. The oil actually has a purple tint to it. John Lingenfelter sells it on his site. This guy knows his stuff pretty good. Hod Rod mag. endorses it. Its been around awhile. I am always willing to try new technology like this, once the big names have used it. |

William, what is the royal purple you refer to? lucas has "Racing oil" (their term) in various weights. anyone have experience with this specific pruduct, as opposed to their additives? BTW they also make gun oil - ??? |

Well, I am not a scientist but when the oil + additive drips on my garage floor it is very hard to remove. Just like the display in the store the oil seems to stick to gears and engine parts etc. I am going to continue to use it. Rob |

I tried royal purple last year in my zr1 corvette and gained a true 7 hp at the wheels. I would not have believed it if you told me. It appears that hod rod mag tested this stuff on dyno engines and average gain was 5 hp over standard synthetic. I have this stuff in my gearbox, my harley, my ninja and I am changing my TR to it. It is the real article. Billy |

I use their oil additive in my 308QV. I know they do a lot of race car sponsorship. They also support our regional Ferrari Club.
