Obviously I looked at the wrong hose.

3/4"(~19mm) hose is std. and should work fine. The hose clamps will ensure a good seal w/o any problem. There's a good chance the hose will be slightly undersize to ensure a good fit on a 3/4" nipple.

I just successfully used a 5/8" (~16mm) hose for the gas tank-fuel pump hose. The nipples measure 15mm. It required pressure to slip it over the ridges on the nipples, and there was no visable clearance around the nipples.

Verell-

Yours must be different, mine is much larger(no pun intended)! Thanks for checking.

I did measure the nipple, which is 19mm. So I figure an 18mm i.d. hose, which no one seems to have.

Well,
can't tell the size for sure by looking. SWAG is that it's 6mm, but it could be 4mm. You'll have to pull one end & measure the nipple it fits on.

I'll take a look at my car during lunch.

It's not surprising that the dealers don't know the hose size. They order them by part #.
Ferrari could have saved people a lot of money if they documented the hose size, length, & p/n for a roll of it(sigh).

Just went thru the same for the fuel hose between the gas tank & fuel pump.

It's a cloth braided vacuum hose.

Don't know if it's the same on an 82', but it goes from the auxiliary air valve under the coolant tank, threads under the intake plenum and terminates at a nipple on the cold-start valve.

I believe it allows extra airflow into the plenum under acceleration once the engine is warmed up.

Does anyone know the size of the Auxiliary Air Hose?

The dealers don't even know!
