Tim,lol, here is the response - with some delay ;O)

We have the opportunity to get a certain number of exotics on the track of the Denver GP about 1 hour to half an hour on race day before the actual race starts. Cars would be on the track in front of the audience ;O)

We would then have a police escort to the VIP parking area and tickets for all drivers.

We wanted to combine this with a mountain drive to make it a two day event. I just don't know yet if we can everything done in time...

I like Brian's idea. Let's start by getting together for a morning/afternoon of driving this summer. Might be fun to incorporate lunch or dinner too.

As Frank mentioned, I prefer a "sprited pace" on challenging roads. But what do the rest of you guys like?

Don,

I appreciate the offer nonetheless! The E36 M3 is a great car. I have the 4 door (got a family after all). I just wish BMW made an E46 M3 4 door...

If anyone wanted to do a Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon mini-meet, there are some great roads down south of Denver. HWY 105 is a well cared for, curvy, 2 laner that runs in a beautiful valley from Sedalia down to Palmer Lake and Monument. A short stint down I-25 from there gets you to Manitou Springs and some other picturesque and fun roads.

I agree that Peak to Peak highway is a good drive. However that road sometimes gets pretty busy and it can be tough to pass people. Independence Pass can be really fun though.

I like the idea of Aspen, but it looks like I won't have my car back together by then. Looks like you guys may have to go without me...

BTW, I hail from G.V., CO. I wonder how many folks are in this region from other states?

If guys just want to drive, then Peak to Peak highway is always fun. The nice thing about Aspen is the fireworks and the restaurants, nightlife, etc. It would be a bit of a traffic hassle on afternoon of the 3rd, and returning on Sunday. Running out of time for this adventure to get organized, and rooms are usu hard to come by at last minute. I just love hauling ass up and over Independance Pass. Midnight runs are the best. I have gone many times in my former ride (Carrera) and look forward to taking the TR.

I like the idea of Aspen, however holiday traffic may be an issue July 4.

All I really care about are challenging roads with no cops and good company!

Brian; I agree. I would rather do an Fcar "Rally"
on a less traveled weekend, given the fact that holiday weekends bring out the worst drivers all at once. Another weekend would be a prudently wise decision.

In accordance w/ FABS' suggestion...

Boulder

Also, given the traffic just about everywhere on the 4th will likely be rough, maybe we should shoot for a different day...just my $.02

Fellow Fcar entusiasts; I would like to suggest that people interested in a get together please post their cities or towns of residence and then
maybe we can decide on a site location based on
fairness in distances. For example, Aspen is 4-5
hours from Boulder and that's not counting holiday traffic. Hopefully; we can come up with a consenus for this gig.

Can't make a July 4th outing, I'll be out of town, but since I don't have a Ferrari, it doesn't make a big difference.

I don't see why not! You don't have to be an owner to be an enthusiast.

I'm hip on it. However it all depends on when I get my car back from the shop. Could be a while...

Tim; Please organize this, you have the skills!
Rocky Mnt. Ferrari's get together, perhaps on some weekend in July or August. As Tim would say;
"A spirited drive" and as I would say "then good food". And away we go.
