Hate to preach but to be ahead of the game, you have to be in it.
Smoking killed my father. Hate to see you join him

DES: I always did think that Jackie's hair didn't 'sit right' :-)

Of course, what I want to know is how Jackie Chan maintains a portfolio.

Wow... so he's sort of the one that everyone wishes they could say they were. How did he get from entertainment industry into portfolio investment?

"Occasionally, i'll smoke a cigar, but i only smoke them to inhale them when i feel like i'm not getting that kick from a cigarette... Some of my friends think this is weird- does anyone here inhale cigars...?"

DES, your friends are right :-)

No, I don't inhale cigars.

I do have the benefit of Indian smoke shops in Oklahoma. I don't smoke cigarettes but I'll check the prices later and post here.

I've only ridden in a cigarette boat a couple of times. I've got a buddy with a 40-something(?) Magnum Marine boat. I'm not very familiar with boats but it's a wild ride.

Andrew - my impression is that Mr. Glickenhaus is like a retired version of the closest thing this world will ever see to a real-life James Bond...

LOL, i smile everytime i think about that... It just sounds so Bond...

Mine's a 38. It was built in 83 and is serial # 1. It's Manhattan Express and was the APBA pace boat for several years before I bought it after using it in one of my movies "The Protector". It sucks down 40-60GPH but it does get the kinks out.

Myt lunatic friend has a cigarette type boat, 45 feet long, 4 454s, the whole deal. It's painted red, and he runs it around the SF Bay all the time. I think that burns more gas than my plane. I think 200/gallons per hour, vs. 45.

I have noticed that the cost of running my Cigarette has gone up. It's 2 650HP engines do suck down a lot of marine 92, (Not to mention eating many quarts of Mobil One)but, there is nothing quite like heading to the Lady holding the torch at sunset with someone you care about at 75MPH...

Mike, to answer your question, i was under the impression that what Pat is saying is opposite- but i could be wrong... Mine are the super longs, (100's) and i always thought kings had the longer filters... Maybe it pays to compare the two... Pat, how confident are you with your answer...? i'm kinda-really-but-not-so-confident-could-go-either-way with mine... :-)

Mike... i smoke just under a pack a day, so, no, they don't get stale... For that occasional pack that fell out and i found it under my seat a month later- the cigs in there seem to be relatively ok, too... i think the plastic does it's job to a certain degree, but if it's only a a few weeks before i'm done with two cartons, then even the last pack is fresh...

Occasionally, i'll smoke a cigar, but i only smoke them to inhale them when i feel like i'm not getting that kick from a cigarette... Some of my friends think this is weird- does anyone here inhale cigars...?

I believe the "100" has a longer filter than a king.

I rarely smoke... a pack will last me 2-3 weeks easy. I only smoke when I am driving home on a long day, or in my office I'll light up one before I head out.

If I was a heavy smoker, I would probably buy online or go to one of those discount stores in New Hampshire and buy there.

My question back to you is - if you buy in bulk, don't the smokes get stale on you? I find the cigarettes are MUCH better from a new pack than from one 2 weeks old... and being a cigar smoker, I wonder if the plastic wrapping on the pack is really enough to keep them fresh.

Also, what is the difference between 100 size and "king" size? Is king bigger?

Ok, so smoking is a dirty habit, but for those of us who don't care and still light up, i'm just curious as to how you've all dealt with the increase in prices... i go to www.dirtcheapcig.com and pick up a carton for $22 (+ shipping & handling) and i'm way ahead of the game... i know there are other sites out there, so if you know of any, please post them... It's kind of hard to beat 22 bucks for a carton of Kool 100s, but you never know... Anyone...?
