lately ive seen people comparing o'rielly to franken, im not sure whether people are trying to elevate franken or degrade o'rielly how anybody can take franken seriously is just silly, i was born in southern cal and have lived here most of my life, let me explain how 95% of people get into the industry, one of 2 ways, either they have a relative in the bizz or they bring a big jar a vasaline when the go for there job interviews, with franken im betting it the 2nd option im watching the staged town meeting with gray davis, its a page right out of clintons book "oh gov davis please dont give up, we need you so much" i gota change the channel befor i through up |

i'd assume the coulter stuff is on the mark, since, regardless of how conservative you might be, she really is an idiot :-) although the illegals can't vote, all the people who employ them and any legal family here can. that's the contingency davis needs to keep from being recalled. it's rational, but 110% shameless. doody! |

The driver's license issue and voting issue aren't tied together. You need a lot more than a driver's license to get registered to vote. I've heard a lot about "illegals voting" but despite the noise, I have yet to see one, and I mean, one provable item of widespread voter fraud. The procedures to keep voting to US citizens for the most part work. Are they perfect, of course not, but they do work, and again where's the proof that there is wide spread fraud, other than people repeating this claim without any valid facts? Franken's book is a humours one. But, he does point out various mistakes or lies on the part of those who he is attacking. O"Rielly is marginal, however he goes directly to Coulter, and points out at least 20 - 30 lies, with copies of the material proving her to be a lair n this book. UNless his stuff is fraudlent, it looks, in my humble opinon that as to her, he sure made his point. Art |

Dood, you're right. And "Gray" is worse than a bonehead. Why? 'Cause ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS CAN'T VOTE, and most legal immigrants who are now citizens & can despise the pandering to the illegals. "Gray" pandered to people who cannot vote for him. Genius, I say!! |

lighten up, dave! life is awfully short. gray davis is clearly a bonehead. but he signed that bill because, IMO, he politically didn't have any choice whatosver - other than simply resigning. that alone is grounds enough to oust him. it's not like he didn't veto it previously - he knew then and knows now that it's stupid. desperate times call for desperate measures, i guess. what a shame. hopefully the next governor will get it stricken down tout de suite. my friends in CA are wholly embarrassed by that legislation. they're mortified that it's law. they should be. doody. |

Art, if you believe anything Al says, you are missing the joke. Remember: anyone who has to try that hard to discredit 2 of the few media folks who are actually not left leaning is really damned scared of the moral bankruptcy of their own ideology. 'Nuff said. By the way, Art, what say you about that a$$clown "Gray" Davis signing the law he vetoed for 3 years allowing illegal immigrants to get Kalifornia DL's?? |

that's funny. i just read a few chapters not an hour ago. my wife is reading it. i think he's a hilarious guy. i read one of his previous books - thoroughly enjoyed it. the problem with this book, as i see it, is that it's so tongue-in-cheek that you need to assume he's slinging jokes around - not that he's slinging facts around. i'm sure some percentage of all of it is factual, but some of it is clearly for the yucks. and tweezing that apart is totally unclear. so my assumption as i read was to simply enjoy it as hilarious, scathing satire. but at least ann coulter "is friendly" with al :-) doody. |

Anyone read Franken's new book? I'm just starting it, and boy it sure sets out a sorry story about O'Rielly and Ann Coulter. Art |
