I thought it was amusing that De la Hoya said he is going to confer with his attorneys to see what can be done about the fight, but he won't do a re-match because he, in his words, "lost twice". |

Regardless of the outcome of the fight, Oscar has a red/tan Maranello...complete with the "Goldenboy" plaque on the console! DL |

I saw the fight. It was close. I agree with the scoring. But it was one of those fights were a few punches could have changed atleast 4 rounds.

I heard some "experts" talking about the fight on espn. They showed the punch stats, and yes, De La Hoya had more punches thrown, more punches landed, and even more power punches landed. But they said that watching the fight live, they both thought Mosley had won. They explained that on tv it is easier to view the fight technically and see more punches landed, but that live it was easy to see that Mosley was hurting De La Hoya more with his punches while many of De La Hoya's punches were really tame. Live one can hear the impact, see the sweat fly off, etc. They asked themselves at the end of each round who they would rather have been in that round and on those terms scored it Mosley 116, De La Hoya 114 and therefore agreed with the decission. I guess that's one thing I'll consider from now on when watching fights on tv. |

I didn't see the fight, but a friend of mine did, and claims that DeLaHoya was indeed robbed. The guy saying that was a pretty good amateur boxer in his prime, and should know. Art |

I have been a fight fan for a long time. Met Muhammad Ali btw. Anyway watched the fight last night and I think Oscar got robbed big time. It almost makes me want to stop watching boxing it is so out of line. Anyone else have an opinion on the fight. I would like to see if it is just my opinion that it was a terrible decision. |
