All of this goes to prove that a business idea I had might work - car themed coffins!

Leather seating made for the bed, maybe modified Recaros, carbon fiber trim with brushed aluminum, or burl walnut accents, and an aluminum exterior with subtle design cues from favorite cars, depending on model (F-car, P-car, Lambo, BMW, etc).

For the toughguy, Ford, Dodge and Chevy truck editions, with a sloping hood and grill on one end, trailer hitch on the other. Diamond kickplate accents on the inside.

Lastly, a NASCAR edition. Roll cage optional, your choice of decal package standard.

Any deposits :-)?

Just like Willie the Wimp. Rappers can't even be original when they die.

After looking at the picture better, that is not a Diablo, but a Murcielago judging by the seats and door panels.

SORRY! UN-ORIGINAL!!

http://members.fortunecity.com/stutzblackhawk/ewest.htm

Millionaire oil heiress Sandra Ilene West was buried 19 years ago in her lace negligee behind the wheel of her powder-blue 1964 Ferrari in a funeral that included a yellow crane to lift the crate containing her and her car and lower it nine fee into the ground, two cement trucks, a construction crew and coast-to-coast headlines. She stipulated the burial arrangements, down to having the car seat "set in a comfortable position," refusing to pass on a single cent of her inheritance unless her instructions were followed to the letter." Her grave is marked by a plain slab in the Alamo Masonic Lodge Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

Very true and I fully agree but,

1) the guy obviously wanted to go this way so its his party and

2) historically speaking this is not uncommon (but very strange) to 'parade' the dead in a way they would have enjoyed, IE here in the UK not that long ago (and I think in Ireland it probably still happens!) they stand the coffin up in the corner of the pub and have one last binge with the guy...

hmm.....

This is a bit too morbid for me to either appreciate or joke about. Wow. Definitely not my kind of thing.

Cheers

Kinda sad really that it makes it into the paper but hey, at old style wakes they used to take the deceased out for a night's drinkin', leaving standing in the corner. Rather morbid me thinx..

Was that model fitted with A/C? Hope so...
