I saw a short piece on Popular Hotrodding TV (www.phrtv.com) a while back of a guy who took a beautiful silver '68 Dodge Charger R/T (think Dukes of Hazzard) and stuffed a Viper V10 and T56 under the hood along with a very modded suspension (possibly Viper as well, but I don't recall offhand). It was a VERY clean conversion that I would be more than happy to own & drive I remember seeing the driver drop it from 4th to 3rd at speed and lay a huge patch of rubber down at like 50mph or so. It's not an F-car, but damn cool nonetheless. http://www.phrtv.com/2002Season/229806/images/beauty-shot-charger.jpg http://www.phrtv.com/2002Season/229806/images/viper-engine.jpg http://www.phrtv.com/2002Season/229806/images/68-Charger.jpg http://www.phrtv.com/2002Season/229806/images/68-Charger-engine.jpg |

This may be blasphemous to some, but I myself have thought it would been fantastic(IMO) to of have a C1 Corvette with C5 suspensin and tranny, while have a classic Ferrari v-12 pushing it along. |

No, it's not perverted; in fact its kind of cool, except for the AC. Why air condition an open car????

There's been discussion of a V12 3x8. Not too fond of the new and old stuff. I prefer finding a contemporary performance boost. Then again, with a 50s TR, it was top of the food chain! Cheers |

I think taking a 3x8 and dropping in the drivetrain of a 360 would be sweet. |

Cool idea. I remember reading somewhere that a guy in CA had done a similar type thing with a late 50's Vette. He put in a ZR-1 engine, suspension, brakes and some other stuff. Neat idea! |
