Only saw that story one other place - WorldNetDaily. It's also important to bear in mind that Hindustan Times is a proponent of editorial commentary from Al-Siyassah, a Kuwaiti paper, which the aforementioned Times claims to have quoted. That said, Kuwait says it seized smuggled Iraq artefacts is a newer article which also states Kuwaiti Security disputes that these were weapons, rather may very well be stolen museum pieces. (not their wording) To me, the Red Herring/Flag was the "60 million worth" - i.e. how would Hindustan or their sources know what WMD would be worth? |

Check this story out: http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_399454,00050004.htm Now, I know it's "hindu times", but apparently the story is an AP story just being displayed on that website. The story says that today, October 2nd, the Kuwaiti government foiled an attempt to smuggle $60 million worth of chemical and biological weapons out of Iraq into an "unnamed European country" *cough*France*cough*. What's up with this story? You think if it was legit, it would have been BLASTED all over the news here in the USA. Consider today was the day that David Kay went before congress to say there was little or no evidence of WMD and Rumsfeld said the lack of WMD may be due to "seriously flawed intelligence". Discuss. |
