Manu,

So far, it's a fixed open roof a la 550 Barchetta.

Cheers

I believe that they WILL be building this car. A friend of mine has this on order...

The only thing no-one appears to be able to confirm is whether the car will have a fixed open roof (a la 550 Barchetta) OR whether the car will be a proper convertible like the 360 Spider.

I dislike the engine cover gill / triangle thing. Beyond that, I hope they keep it just as it is!

Dan - On the East Coast, just saw the ad.

Have to hand it to Lamborghini, the Barchetta is another bold design IMO. I'm surprised the car hasn't received more press attention; I waste a lot of time reading car magazines and yet missed this.

Lamborghini's website is crap. But that's just my opinion.

The Barchetta will be made. So far, I like it.

Cheers

Will,

Are you in the bay area, or just saw an ad from them?

Thanks all. Not interested in buying the car - can't even decide whether I like the look, probably would have to see one in person. Just curious. The Lamborghini site certainly has a distinctive look and feel - not for the bandwidth impaired, though.

They're going to make a few of them (it's factory). I remember seeing it around online... you can see pics at lamborghini.com.

PS: Stanford Euro has some real schmucks... one of the best (nicest, most friendly / human) salesman ever was there, Rich, but he's long gone.

Advertised by Lamborghini Palo Alto in the October Dupont Registry. I assume this is a one off? Or did I miss a new model? Would be interesting to see other photos.
