Kal,
I have been using Griots' products for years now, and I love them all. The Boars hair brush does have a hard plastic base that can you will probably run into your side mirrors and such the first few times you use the product, but once you get the feel of the handle and how to move the it around things get alot easier and you will be less on edge about doing damage to your car. I have not incurred a single nik or dent from using it on any of my cars.

The brush is soft though. So if your car is really dirty down along the door sills and behind the wheels, it is not a good scrubbing tool. Griots Garage is also now selling a lambs wool mit. I have been using this on my wife's Jeep. It does an excellant job of scrubbing the bottom panels and then I use the boars hair brush for the rest.

Hope this helps.

Kal, I've used it and while it works well, the wash mitt is much easier. The hair is very soft and has never scratched the paint. What I kept worrying about was banging the car with the base of it. (OK, I did it a few times) Since the hairs are so soft, it isn't like they scrub the car any harder than the mitt, sometimes even less. Overall, I think the mitt is easier.

Kal,

I have had the same reservations - have not used it. Try asking here:

Thinking about buying this to replace a wash mit. Seems like it would be a lot easier to clean the dirt out of but of course I'm worried about such a strong and coarse material scratching. Anyone have any experiance with this?
