It always seemed to me at the start that Rossi had set his sites on Biaggi and made a big deal out of him while meanwhile Biaggi pretended like he'd never even heard of Rossi and certainly didn't view him as a rival since he wasn't even racing in the same series yet. Well, Rossi worked his way up to the 500s/motogp and now it's on. If they'd met up a few years earlier it would have been more of a rivalry though: Biaggi kind of seems on the downslide, no? |

I know they don't like each other but I have no idea why. Is there an incident that sparked their rivalry? |

I know a little about Rossi. His main competitor, a guy by the name of Biaggi used to date one of the supermodels, a black gal. After Rossi had won a race, he got a doll, and made obscene jestures to it, on his victory lap. Those guys hate each other. Art |

Andreas, you should watch Moto GP. It's great! Rossi is like a more dominant version of Schumacher, but he also seems to be universaly liked (unlike Schumacher). He can do some amazing things on a bike. He did OK at rallying although he crashed. This is just a publicity thing though and it may not happen as Rossi doesn't like tobacco advertising. Didn't Max Biaggi drive a Ferrari F1 at Fiorano a few years ago? That was when he was in a Marlboro sponsored team. Maybe we need to wait for Rossi to join Ducati before he'll drive a Ferrari. The Honda F1 teams might not like to see a Honda rider in a Ferrari F1 car. I believe BAR invited Rossi to test for them but it never happened... |

Rich, I think he is definitely the most colorful character in sports racing! HAHAHA! Chicken suit. I remember that.
That's one of the reasons he is infinitely more popular that fellow countryman Max Biaggi. Cheers |

Rossi has already tried out a rally car and drove extremely well. He would have been competitive, and it was his first time out! The kid is obviously talented. I think he was the youngest MotoGP champion. He's bagged 125cc, 250cc, and the top 500cc, championships. The guy is TALENTED to say the least. Funny as heck to boot. Has writing on his helmet (?) that reads Viva La Figa! HAHAHA! Cheers |

Rossi would certainly bring some color back to F1. Recently they most we've had was Irvine and Villenueve and those are mellow compared to Rossi, ha! When he was still on the 250s his victory laps were hilarious. He picked up a friend in a chicken suit, a 'super model' doll, stopped once to use the porta-potty, etc. And of course the guy is fast and fearless. |

Hi Andreas, He's the Moto GP World Champ. I agree, it's a gesture for now but it would be exciting if it came true! |

Who is Rossi? BTW: Doesn't have to mean anything really. Fabrizio Giovanardi won the Italian touring car championship and Ferrari promised him a F1 test drive, which he did in Vairano. It was more a gesture. |

I just read from f1-live that Piero Ferrari invited Valentino Rossi to try out an f1 car. Could he be a replacement for Rubens or Michael? Could be another John Surtees in the making???? |
