yup, half hour before the race begins they start airing the pre race show, race starts on the hour the very first minute of the prerace show for me normally is the most exciting moment: That's when I see what the weather looks like. Sunshine or are we in for a treat?

I guess I'm pretty hard core. I live in Hawaii, so the GPs in Europe start at 1:30am here...and I ALWAYS watch them live. The Japanese GP is a treat since it starts at 7:30pm Saturday night. |

Here in Miami all the tifosi will be going to watch it live at a place called the Italian Image(thery're on the web),the average attendance at each race is at least 30-40 people no matter what time it's shown. So Drew stay up and watch it, to me it's just not the same watching it taped. |

A bunch of us F-Chatters from "New York Tri-State" will be doing a run to the east end of Long Island on Saturday. Two F-Chat members (Barney and Sam) have planned a great day of driving and "pit stops" for us. I don't think the adrenaline will have worn off by midnight so I'll be staying up to watch the action. Go Shumie ! |

I will be watching this race live because it starts at 4:30pm (or something) over here in Australia. Thankfully Channel Ten is now doing F1 and they ARE the motorsport channel. Thus they have delayed the news, etc. to show this race live!!! GOOD ON THEM A few years ago (before and including the year MS won the WC the first time for Ferrari) we used to get F1 via Channel 9 ... who are f**king useless when it comes to motorsport, and they refused to show it live believing that the News is more important. Naturally they missed out on a huge race!!!, and they lost the F1 a few years later. Actually Sunday is going to be a great day of motorsport because Bathurst (Australias big touring car race) is on from something like 7am in the morning (on Ten again), ie. support races, etc. and when it finishes we will be switching STRAIGHT to Suzuka ... my poor wife Normal procedure for watching F1 races is to record and watch them in the morning when my early rising son gets up. I used to watch them live but with young kids you never know if you are going to get any sleep or not ... thus I play it safe ... but I still watch a few live, and if not God help anybody that tells me the result, hence watching it early in the morning Pete |

Gotta stay up for it!! I made the mistake of taping Jerez in 1997; woke-up at 3:30am and saw Schu standing on the side of the road. Bad mojo. Must watch it live....................Will catch up sleep Sunday night. Kevin S. Orchard Park, NY |

So it's on Saturday night over here in the states and not Sunday. Just don't want to miss it. I always sit down with a bunch of chicken wings and grub down. Looks like it going to be a late dinner. |

TIVO! Actually, there's a truck race we're going to on Saturday, and then Winston Cup on TV Saturday night and an IRL race locally on Sunday, so this might just be racing for 24 hours |
