>>>They used to discuss that the winner would be the one who got to the first corner first >>>but ofcourse one of them changed that agreement later in the race Yes, TRUE racers, both! Of course Enzo wouldn't even DREAM of manipulating his drivers... nah... If your car didn't show up in time for a Grand Prix, that meant NOTHING... really nothing at all... GRINNNNNNNNNNNNNN Jack |

McLaren have always had team orders ... this was one of the reasons for the Alain versus Senna drama. They used to discuss that the winner would be the one who got to the first corner first ... but ofcourse one of them changed that agreement later in the race. Ron Dennis is full of sh!t and will say anything to fulfil McLaren's cause. Bruce McLaren would have never been such an ar$ehole. Pete |

There are no team orders necessary. Everyone KNOWS what is expected of them to do in that situation, and that their ride is dependant on it. You know what happens when you are not a 'team player' in F1? |

Yes, Coulthard is and even better team player than RB... GRINNNNNNNNNNNNNNN I don't believe there were "team orders" though. We had a pre-race interview on TV with DC in which he already said that he would help Kimi when and where necessary and I believe him to be sincere in this matter. Even if DC would have be lying and they were indeed "team orders", they would have been allowed under the current FIA rules provided it is done in a "normal" way. What is NOT allowed is a repetition of the "Ferrari in Austria" incident. Jack |

I agree. It was obvious to me also. Ferrari ran a great race and a great season. My hat goes off to them. I watched the race live, 1-3 pm EST. Pretty tough for me to stay awake but I felt that I had to watch it live. Went to sleep for a few hours prior. It almost brought tears to my eyes. |

Ron Dennis is always complaining about Ferrari and their team orders and also says there is no such thing at Mclaren - give me a break - Coulthard was leading Kimi by about 8 seconds prior to both making the final pit stops yet Kimi comes out ahead - when neither had a problem in the pit, Coulthard slowed down considerably prior to his pit to allow Kimi to get in front. I have no issue with team orders just don't deny they exist. |
