I never did learn to keep my hands to myself, lol! No engines were harmed in the making of this picture.

C, I'm not sure which "special" tool you are referring too ...looks like a normal vice grip to me... but I know that they had to use a few special Ferrari tools to work on the car. Anyways, I'm getting a handbrake installed on the car (yes, finally!) and getting a few other loose ends checked out, and then I should be good to go. Lucio and Costa have been asking me to head out with them on one of their track days to test the car out - maybe I'll do that first, just to give her a break-in, with technical support on the ground. Then, I think it's all good for all future track days! (I want to wear down my pads and then change out my pads/rotors) B. |

B, Is that a ferrari special tool I see hanging off the cam cogs? And...I hope you don't have to go back too soon. When can we hit the track next? Are you game? |

A few months back, I had some problems with a cam bearing failure on my 348 Challenge while running at Buttonwillow. Well, the repairs are finally done and I picked up/drove my car last weekend! Hats off to the guys at FX Performance for doing a spectacular job with my engine and my car. They spent a great deal of time dissecting my engine and determining the necessary fixes. The service required a full engine-out. The repairs basically included just about everything that is normally done during a 30k service. Some of the included repairs/R&R were the following: * Main cam bearing * Timing Belt * Belt Tensioners * Oil pump chain * Oil pump chain gear * Remachining of water pump housing * Water pump * Engine Thermostat * Rear Driver-side CV Boot * New fuel line * Adjusted valve clearances * Starter upgrade In addition, they performed the following: * Full engine cleaning * A/C Recharge (R-12) * 4 wheel alignment * Wheel balance * Full leak down/compression test * Oil change (w/Shell oil) * Coolant Flush * Clutch/Brake fluid flush The car runs strong. The bill was fair. Thank you FX (Costantino, Lucio, and Antonio) for taking care of me and my car. For those that came out for the FDC/FX Canyon run, I'm sure you will agree that the facilities at FX are immaculate. I would definitely go back again for service in the future! GRAZIE!
