Ton, I dropped into the Fila store in London (Covent Garden) yesterday and they have a new 2003 range of Ferrari jackets from the classic collection.

bart, my mistake, i tend to call all airport shops 'duty free', old habit. the fila store is open to everybody and is specifically in the terminal for intra europena destinations. it is not duty free, but the prices are cheaper than the uk at least.

Ross,

Thanks for the tip, but we are not allowed to buy tax free at the Rome Airport part of the EU. :-(

if you guys like the fila stuff, the best prices i have found are at the duty free in the rome airport. i bought the race boots there a few months ago for about 5-10 less than grandprix legends, without any postage cost either of course.

Hi Amar,

I will be in London for a couple of days next month. I will definitely have a look in the shops that you have mentioned. The Ferrarishop in Hasselt did not have a very large selection of Fila stuff. I will also look around in the Netherlands and Germany for a nice jacket.

Thanks for the info.

Hi Ton,

The Fila jackets are quite nice if you prefer subtle and classic designs without sponsor logos; you can find them in selected Fila stores. There are a number of stores in London with good collections (eg. Harrods, Lillywhites, Grand Prix Legends store at Brands Hatch) if you ever come here, and of course the new Ferrari store in Maranello has a large selection.

Best wishes,
Amar

Guy,

I went to the shop last saturday! They have a nice collection but I did not find anything that I liked. Maybe I have to go back again and have a second look!

Bart,

Have you found a Ferrari-jacket yet?
What kind of jacket are you looking for?
Something of the scuderia-collection or from the vintage-collection (Fila)?

I'm going to that 'pole position' shop in Hasselt tomorrow so maybe i can have a look!

Tomorrow is delivery-time for the 360 for you, correct? I wish i could say the same!!
Have a nice drive and see or hear (the Tubi) you later!

Hey Bart,

I found the adress: Formula One Pole Position
Diestersteenweg 206/2
3510 Hasselt Kermt
Tel.: 011/850085

It's in Kermt so it's before Hasselt!
If you take the E313 you have to take the very first exit for Hasselt- Herk De Stad!! (don't know the number)
Then you go right direction Kermt.
When you're in Kermt, you see on your right the 'Kermeta-plein', you drive up the parking lot and there it is in front of you! (i believe there are lights now)

I also was thinking of driving to the shop on saturday, but i think it will be in the late afternoon, around 16.00h. But this is provisional timing of course!

If you like you can join me, so you don't have to search for it!
But like i said, i'm not sure yet if i'm going at all, but if it's not this week, i'm sure i'll be going next week!

Hey Bart,

There is a shop in Hasselt where they sell all official Ferrari-merchandising. 'The Formula One Shop' i believe! This is where i buy all my Ferrari-stuff! I don't know if they have the new 2003 Fila collection yet!

I don't have the adress right now but i will look for it tomorrow and i'll send it to you!

But don't they sell this collection at Garage Francorchamps also? I often get e-mails from G Francorchamps when they have some new merchandising (including clothing).

BTW no news yet on your 360? Can you still sleep good? If i was getting a Ferrari soon, i'm sure i would have trouble with it!!

Amar,

You are right! The Fila Ferrari collection also has some more classical items. I will have a look at them in a Fila store because it is hard to make a decision on these small pictures.

Ton and Bart,

Fila has classic jackets and shirts with just a discrete prancing horse, and there is an older collection with a yellow Scuderia shield and no sponsor logos. Check out these UK-based sites, both of which are reliable:

http://www.grandprixlegends.com/pages/home/index.asp
http://www.ferrariwebshop.co.uk/

And www.fila.com has a list of retailers which carry the Ferrari collection.

Which one do you mean? I can only find jackets with Shell and Vodafone logo's all over it.

Actually I am looking for a nice official Ferrari jacket with not too much "things" on it. There is btw many "non-official" jackets for sale on Ebay.
