Thanks Larry! So you discovered Leatherique :). I haven't tried the dyes yet but they also make a flexible crack filler I hear. I'd love to see the photos.

Sandra,

My Congrats also and good for you - 2 Plats so far! And was nice to meet you there as well.

I saw your endorsement for leatherique a few posts down. I just completed the rejuv oil & pristine clean on the entire interion and stripped my seats bare and re-dyed with the leatherique dye.

All-in-all results pretty good, just my first time doing this kind of thing so I made a few rookie mistakes with the finish dye prep & work but the Rejuv oil saved my seats. I try to post a pix that shows the stripped and finished side-by-side.

I guess I'll have to change the subject to "So what the heck does a Platinum winning Ferrari look like?" LOL Winning is a blast! Concorso Italiano was like a dream come true :)

Leatherique is good stuff! I use it on everything leather from car interiors to all my saddles and other leather tack.

Sandra,
the interior is grey in fairly good condition. I bought some stuff from letherique to make it like new but every time I want to start I decide that it not necessary yet.

Hey thanks Ben & Christian! Look forward to meeting a few of you in Monterey. How's the interior on your car Christian? Need any detailing tips ;) LOL just kiddin...I get people asking me what they need to do to win a Concours. Gee, I dunno, just make it look like it just rolled off the showroom floor I guess :). Worked for me!

Love it!

Welcome to the world of the "UnRed" (and mostly unread too). Altho I admit to drinking that cola in a red can more than I prolly should. Look forward to meeting you and your car at CI.

The Mondial's lines are much improved in that color! It's never been my favorite model, but I like it in prugna and noncab! Wheels look good too

Well, I didnt mean the first or only person with a prugna Ferrari, but I'm still the only one I know of with a prugna 308 :). I have only seen this color on a TR, a 328 and a 400i.

Sandra:
Sorry but you are not the first one with that color. Please go down in the showroom section to 1986 Mondial 3.2.

Oh yeah and about red Ferraris...if I owned say a 330GTC (feasible) or a 250GT SWB (HA! I wish!) I would definately go for a red one but in a 308...way too common so I wanted other than red :).

Didn't 16" wheels come stock on the later 308's?

Hi Stu,
Yep, those are the 16" QV wheels...took awhile to find them and they had to be repainted :(. Found them at GT Carparts in AZ (Bill). I have Dunlop SP Sport 8000s in the stock size. Good enough tires...I got them from Discount Tire at a killer price so couldn't pass them up :).

Sandra,

Beautiful looking car! I too wanted a "not red" car. I love the tradition of red but I like being different more. :)

Question - are those 16" wheels and if so - where did you find them and what kind of tire are you running on? Thanks and good luck!

GIF or JPG format should be small enough. Even a small BMP file is huge. If you want me to help you with the pics, just email them to me at [email protected]
