I really like some of the license plates I've seen now and then. This is another.

In NJ it's hard getting the plate you request, most are taken. After several plates were turned down, my wife finally captured one for her 328 GTS, that I really got a kick out of:

HIGHHORS

That should get us some scornful looks.

Jason,
The frame was specially made by my body guy.The plate itself was never trimmed. He filled in the 2 holes and then painted the area.

Martin,
Did you trim the license plate so that it would fit.....I would imagine that a US plate is too high to fit in the european license recess (was the black frame specially fabricated)

Thanks for taking the photos....maybe I won't need a new bumper after all

Jason,
My body guy filled in the 2 holes, fashioned a us plate rim and repainted the bumper. It looks great. I'll take a few pics and post them for you to see next week.
The assemblies came pre-painted.The only ones Ferrari now uses are the ones with the extended fiberglass hood.(Halogen)
Let me know if I can be of any help with your move.

Martin,
Glad to hear that you have received the headlights (do they come pre-painted??).....I have a question for you......I am moving to LA in April, and I shall be bringing my car with me.....I am not going to get it converted, as a foreign national I am allowed to bring the car in as a personal import (car tourist visa)for up to three years without converting it....My question is I can see from your photo that your rear bumper wasn't changed (the license plate recess on a euro car is much longer than the US version)...There are a couple of license plate screw holes in the recess....How did you cover them up as I think that they are wider than a US plate? I have attached a photo so that you can see what I mean

PS.
Does it look awkward to have so much space either side of the license plate (I can't decide If I want to get a new rear bumper with the US sized license plate recess)

Thanks Jim.
Michael-having the Schnitzer aluminum package installed next thurs-will post pics.
Jason-Miracle of miracles the headlight assemblies finally arrived today for the 360!!!Only took 3mo after deciding to pay myself since Ferrari of italy and FNA refused to cover under warranty even tho it was an acknowledged manufacturing screwup and subject to recall.During the 3 mo the price went up from original quote of $1900 to $3200.Glad it wasn't delayed another 3 months.Had me by the shorts!!

Ahhh YES!! The rewards of higher education!! The Modena is a dream of mine - right now my 308 will have to do. No offense because your Modena, bimmer too)is (are) beautiful, however I have always preferred, for some unknown reason, the yellow version for the 360. Not that I'm complaining or anything of the sort!!

Michael:

I like that! The TR ate up the M3. But, I am considering one myself as a daily driver - nice car.

Hey Doc, you are right that the brushed Aluminum package on the M3 is really nice. Saw it for the first time on the highway, two days ago. Really caught my attention, neat moniker on the right rear trunk plus it sits real sporty like on the road. The car is pretty quick also. The driver of the car thought, however, it was quicker. He saw me along side him and sped up a little bit, I matched him for speed and then he hit it --well I anticipated a little fun and had already downshifted to 3rd and when I hit it also and the race was over quick. The M3 is fast but the TR ate it up between 70 - 100.

Still that M3 is nice and I would consider one. I like the M5 also but something about that aluminum M3 spoke to me. I'll remember to stay in the sport mode.

Solly= Who are you kidding=sell a few shares of your many businesses!
David= M3 is great fun.I never take it out of "sport"mode which increases the throttle response and rev's.Haven't had it on the track yet.Only disclaimer is the shifting is a bit notchy. We'll see what the local dealer has to say about that.If you order one get the AC Schnitzer brushed aluminum package(dash, shifter, hand brake pedals) etc

Martin
I can't believe that this saga for you is still going on.......

You need to send the xenon one back......There are a bunch of other bits that you would need to get the xenons to work (inverters etc).....The globe with the ground glass is fine for both halogen and xenon. I don't actually like the extended fibreglass hood very much.

If it is xenons you are looking for still do what I suggested above and I'll give you the name of a company (bellhof)that does a beautiful xenon kit for the car (not RM Racing....I think their's is a little Mickey Mouse....they do do some other stuff that is nice)...

I have the Bellhof xenons in my car....frankly the are better than Ferraris (brighter, and better focussed). Of course the other advantage with the xenons is that the bulb stays very cool compared to a halogen.....no chance of any further burning problems.

Jason,
I cannot believe what has occurred with the light situation.About 2 weeks ago I recd one light with the glazed lo beam globe and today I rec'd the other light with the extended fibreglass hood and a Xenon transformer.Called the parts guy here who is calling his guy in europe.Am I correct that the first light is halogen ?(has no Zenon transformer)What do you suggest? Seems to me I should keep the xenon and return the other.

Martin
which update on the headlight assembly did you go for...There is a lens one that has the centre of the lens ground (diffuses the heat) and then there is the assembly update that has a redesigned plastic housing

Jason,
There is a difference. Your's has neither red calipers or burnt headlight assemblies!!
Cheers,
