Awesome post! What does the Lear owner do for a living? And, more importantly, what does he drive???
Thanks.

Christopher is right: 31A.

Byron,

the pilots were jacked, they were really into the car, and helped me make sure the background was free of clutter for the shots. The owner of the jet helped me set the whole thing up.

Sounds awesome Ken! If I was in Kansas I would try and get a job with Cessna sweeping floors or something...Im sure it would be fun! Gulfstream runs a finishing plant (where they paint and install interiors) over here in Long Beach so maybe I should give them a call?

Jordan,
I used to be an engineer for Cessna and have flown in everything from a 152 to a Citation X. Flying in the prototypes was a blast because they were lighter weight than most production models since they had no interiors. Flew all over the country participating in flight tests. Best job I ever had.

Flying in a bizjet will spoil you forever. I now hate cattle car airline flying.

Now you may have a Ferrari and I might be jealous about that...but riding in a Learjet? Now I hate you :-)

One of my dreams is to ride in some sort of business jet! Ive been all over the inside and outside of them, but never in one when it was moving!

Sounds like you had a blast though!

Vincent, excellent angles... what an experience that must have been. I wonder how jealous the jet pilot was!! :-)

Great pictures.

Sunny,

thanks,

Ben,

Napa to Del Mar, 41k at Mach .75, the only way to go! A weekend at the races, with full access, we even got to places that only owners and trainers are allowed to go. We also received a tour of the "Money Room" where paper money is actually weighed. And visited the place where the odds are calculated in real time. It was a pretty neat experience, even though I am not a huge fan of horse racing. Didn't win any money either. But my betting became more and more sophisticated...boxed trifectas....pick threes...across the board...

If you're going to the races, this is the best way to get there!

No lines, no security, it was pretty sweet. I believe it is a 35a, maybe a 31.

AWESOME Shots Vince! I have *theme music* playing in my head!

The first one would make a great cover for a coffe-table book about fast machines!

Was it a Lear 35? 45? We want the whole story! Details! Details! (PS: looks like Napa Co airport, right?)

Best!

here is another one. I also took some cool side by side. The pilots were just as excited as I was!

I skipped the concorso because of the offer to take a ride in a very fast machine.

I have a few more, but I need to reduce the res.

Enjoy.
