Ton, I think you should think of replacing the manifolds with the ones from Tubi when the stock ones begin to crack and have to be replaced! They are quite expensive but still cheaper than the stock ones from Ferrari. Advantage is that they are thermal insulated and not prone to crack. According to Manu Tubi manifolds also give you some additional horsepowers combined with other Tubi equipment. Not bad but you should think of that when you ruled out all other cosmetical flaws on your 328! Con saluti cordialissimi, Jens Haller |

Ton, Thanks! No, I've never had a set of Tubi exhaust headers... but I've seen a few of them in Ferraris and the craftmanship is fantastic. Especially cool was an F50 here in the Seattle area that had an -entire- Tubi exhaust system. Amazing sound! |

I have a tubi on my car - I am so hooked, I will never go back. I would recommend a tubi as a staple aftermarket piece for your F-car |

Wow Gary, That sounds fantastic! I can't wait to get the Tubi. Do you also have experience with Tubi Manifolds? Ton |

I love the sounds my car makes too! I have a 1983 308 GTS QV w/test pipes and a Tubi. '83 is the only year of the QV that has a true dual exhaust system. The '84/85's and the 328's have a single cat/single inlet muffler. They are much quieter than my car. Here's what mine sounds like on a dyno shifting each gear at 8,000 rpm. 308QV WAV FILE |

Tazio, Fantastic! It gives a good example of the sound. I will definitely go for the Tubi. Ton |

The flames coming out of your exhaust are definitely a NO GO here in Germany! I am totally sure that you would be sorted out by police when they see it. Too much volume is another danger here. Especially in Munich and in Düsseldorf there are several policemen who know Ferrari very well (Since these are two cities where you can see Fcars quite often!)and can tell if the car has stock muffler or sport exhaust. If it is too extreme they stop you and forbid to drive on unless deinstalling the exhaust! Pretty nasty so all sellers of Tubi tell you not to rev too high when a policecar etc is nearby. After all you are allowed to drive as fast as you want here on the Autobahn but it is forbidden to do that in a very loud way! What a shame. Con saluti cordialissimi, Jens Haller |

My non-cat Tubi 308 QV shoots a good flame when really pushed hard also. |

Have you guys with a Tubi on your 328's noticed any performance improvement? I was speaking to a 348 owner the other day who had one put on and he reckoned it was a bit quicker. He'd also had the cats removed so that would probably help too. I like the sound of my stock 328 but man do those Tubi's howl!! |

I love the Tubi on my 328. It's the full Tubi pipes from the headers to the resonator. Can't call it a muffler. Yes- it is much louder but I find the sound to be great. I don't get tired of it. Since you're in Belgium- are there laws against cars with to loud of an exhaust? |

I put a Tubi on my 328 last Oct. The sound is fantastic!! I recommend it! When pushing it hard while out in some cool dry air, it'll spit out 1-2 feet of flame from each of the 4 tailpipes on upshift! Dave |

Comparing the sound of Greg Scott's Testerossa to the 328... both are stock, but I like the sound of the 328. It's a little louder and deeper. The Testarossa seems very quiet for a V12. Now the catless, muffle less 1000 HP TR is another story! |

I think the stock 328 sounds great... esp at idle. But I'm sure the Tubi sings a sweet song at 7,000 RPM. |

I don't know how a Tubi sounds on a 328 but, my F355 with the Tubi sounds absolutely wonderful under full throttle. The idle is LOUD. Also, there is a resonance between 2,500 and 3,000 rpm that will almost drive you out of the car. I have seriously considered taking the tubi off because of this. An hour on the highway is about all one can stand. I called Tubi to express my dissatisfaction and their response was: "we can't help you". Decide for yourself. |

Ton I didn't have a Tubi but did have a sports exhaust fitted to my 328, The car was transformed revving much more freely and a noticable amount more torque, also the noise was fantastic..... i later found a stamp on it quoting 110dB's.... my brother who lives approx 1 mile away from me reckoned he could hear it when I started it on my driveway!!!!! Kent High Performance Cars in Kent, England supplied it, around 960 Euros |

Love mine. No more OEM tinny sound. The car sounds the same at idle, but under power, it really sounds exceptional & full of character!! |

A friend of mine in Germany installed one and it made a HUGE difference. The car sounds now more like a F1 from the late seventies. Totally awesome. |

Hi Guys, I was wondering if there is someone who has a Tubi Style Exhaust under his 328. What is your experience with it? |
