30 years old and 3000 miles. Great!

I hope the guy used his wife more frequently than his car. "No hunny, I don't want any sex, I just want to look at you"

...makes me want to get into my car and drive around the block just to vent Upload

I was at that auction and looking at that very car. It actually went for GBP102,500..add in the buyers premium and that is way more than others have been fetching here. Lovely car, very original, one owner from new but part of the attraction for many there was the fact it had only done 2800miles. Many people think Daytona values are set to rise, but I reckon short term this will drop if it adds too many miles.

wud not agree. it wud still be relatively low mileage and to do that kind of mileage the new owner will also most probably have to do some preventive maintenance before, during and after, which shud shake the gremlins and hence make it and even more valuable car to cognoscenti.

So I'm watching this on SPEED and in the segment regarding the auction, Alain De Cadenet and Doug Nye are musing about a Ferrari 365 GTB Daytona with about 3000 miles on it.

Doug argues that when the new owner picks up the car and puts another say, 5-10,000 miles on it, the value of the car would inevitably drop. Would you agree or disagree with this sentiment?
