I guess I was basing to much on last years F-1 races. I did not watch a singal race this year, and I did not even bother to find out who won what race. F-1 to me has become a place for rich companies to spend money. There seems to be a problem with having an even playing field. To me when you have such a domanant team, such as Ferrari it take all the fun an thrill out of the entire sport. There is nothing I like better then seeing an underdog beat the big boys! And with f-1 that can't happen |

Tom, Just how many times this year did you know who was going to win before the race started? Maybe last year, but not this year. If you can let me in on your secret, I would love to hit the bookies just before the race and rake it in. I personally watched the race late Saturday night/Sunday morning and found this race to be quite exciting. I was waiting for something to happen to Rubens until he took the checkered. And I thought Michael did a good job of driving to work himself in 8th with all the things going on around him. Now, last season, it was a yawner....... |

Tom, I thought things were pretty close. I mean, MS was way back, and had RS not been shunted off, he might not have made the points. Another typical Ferrari mistake for Rubens means the win for Kimi, and a championship by ONE point! I know there have been closer, but it was still pretty exciting to me. Will: Err...yeah. Roberto who? --Dan |

Dan - I keep rooting for Roberto Moreno. Someone MY age winning a championship - now that REALLY is the stuff dreams are made of. Cheers, Will |

BORRRRIIINNNNGGGG!!! When will F-1 be exciting again? I hate knowing whose going to win before the race even starts. I don't and won't watch F-1 until it becomes a real sport. Not just run by the biggest bank account. F-1 racing has become nothing but a farce. |

I just watched the whole thing today. I was pretty impressed with Michael's candor in emotions. Actually, while I wanted Ferrari to win the constructor's championship, I was rooting for Kimi. Someone my age (or maybe he's older?) as world champion? The stuff dreams are made of! --Dan |

Dan, yes, Forza Ferrari! Another brilliant season. I should have known better than to look at FChat before watching the race, but I guess I am addicted. Saw the spoiler discussion on Racing Fans. Oh, well, at least a very, very happy ending. Of course, I watched the entire race anyway, and I'll bet you did, too. |

Will575: I feel the same way. Generally these are in the Racing section, which is why I had avoided it, and anyone else, like the plague. Unfortunately I saw this before-hand (the title, didn't click on it). Blargh. FORZA FERRARI nonetheless. --Dan |

He had the weather against him and Trulli, Michael had to qualify under the rain and that in my opinion its unfair. Then the 18+ seconds to replace the wing and it that time they didn't fuel the car up enough so he didn't need to do at least one less pit stop for fuel, Why did it go that way? Then Ralph almost put him out of the race because of Michael's left block, was it a block or did Michael waited to long to break and he locked his brakes and then Ralph tought he could then go to the left and pass him then? If you see that part of the race it seems imposible for Ralph to pass only his brother as Michael is to close to the car in front of him and there wasn't enough room for Ralph's to fit in so his only choice would be to pass the two of them and that really was not possible as he then could of never breaked for the turn. It was all to fast but then what a surprise to see Michael's showing no mercy to his brother and that deserves respect. Hope he doesn't retire soon, that Kimi doesn't look like a winner to me, he should be proud of his status in formula one and he always looks mad and constipated showing what a sour loser he is, he needs to grow up and so I hope Michael stays around longer , he is got the charisma of a champion. |

Congrats Schumy, I love the way Michael slow down causing smoke behind, leaving Ralph his brother blind and caught his nose on his brother's left rear tire. and then, he must have said: Bye bye bro, I am heading for my 6th champ and keep my position at 8th until finish line What an amazing race. He was down to the last run at first. Message for Montoya: How about going back to Nascar?? The guy is total D**K head |

That was a key block. He had to keep that position. Sure Rubens was leading but if Ralf had gotten 8th from Michael then the next the you know Rubens car dies and Kimi is champion. |

History in the making last night. Michael threw quite a block on Ralph there at the end although there's no rule against it. I'm sure Ralph wasn't to pleased. I guess that's what you have to do sometimes to win a championship. |

Yes, Congratulations. I wonder what he's going to do now. I imagine he will retire soon. I heard that Ferraris current President is itching to retire. Maybe Michael can do a lateral shift and become the next Pres of Ferrari ? |
