(oops!) tried to catch up but the 328 we were with got a puncture when
colliding with a motor bike! still had a good run with the other 348 shame
we didnt meet up with the rest of you guys after. Will have to do it again
some time (and try not to get lost) realy rather drunk now after the pub!!!.
Paul did you get our tape?
Cheers guys

Hi Guys,

I had a great time, its was nice to meet such a nice group of people, the run was nothing short of awesome.

Sound ,speed and a convoy of Ferraris waking up all the sleepy villages on route.

The Tubi exhausts on Zaks car and the 355,s were superb, and a message for MANU my exhaust sounds sweet , cheers mate speak to you on Monday about details....

Many thanks to Paul who organised the ride.. and im sure all will agree its a venue we should organise more regularly....how about that???

Hope to see you all again soon.

Posting pics on Monday... anybody got Video??

What a great day we all had! Cant wait for the next one! Something tells me that we will have to wait some time to get the weather we had today. Nice meeting up with everyone and putting some faces to the names.

There should be some interesting stories to be told by the relevant parties out there about the happenings of today: -

Marc How to make 2 lanes into 3

Ali Taking the 360 for a nice and gentle stroll on a Saturday afternoon!

There are many more including the two screaming 355s! I will let the above fill in all the details :-) (Or maybe we should leave it off the board for legal reasons!!!)

Cant wait to see the video footage!!

Hi guys,
yes was great fun...jesus tony, i thought you were a gonner just outside Baldock when you were pulling back inside before a truck was heading straight on. Could have been messy.
my brakes must be shot after the number of times the ABS was coming on. Thought i had lost control of it a couple of times. great blast.
Joe your 360 spider sounded awesome with that tubi.
cheers everyone.

Paul,
Thanks for the invite but i'm now a non-starter. The damned handbrake is stuck on.
So dissappointed.
Really looking forward to meeting all you guys for the fist time. Oh well, next time.
The handbrake thing seems to be a regular problem. I hope they can fix it properly this time.

Have a great time. Weather looks fab for it.

See you on the next run out.

Hi Guys,
I'm new to F-chat
Just spent hours catching up on all the stuff on here. So much to read it's mind blowing.

I'm currently driving a 550+tubi and waiting for a new Stradale to be delivered (shud be in Oct. Hopefully)

If anybody has got one already, would love to know what you think.

Paul.
I have emailed you directly
would love to come along on your drive out.
I usaully get down to Bury Hill on the SouthDowns on Sunday mornings if i'm not racing.
Just me and a million 2 wheelers.(feel a outnumbered). Could do with a bit more ferrari support.

Ok guys - this is the plan - all suggestions welcome! This is the first ride-out I've organised so please bear with me.

I'll put in a few stop points en-route. I'll drive this route ahead of time during the week to identify good stopping points with enough space for us all, so I may slightly modify the route nearer the time.

Essex/Herts/Suffolk Circuit (116 miles total)

Assemble at Birchanger Service Station (M11 J8) for 1pm. Leaving at 1.30pm.

From Birchanger, A120 West around the north side of Bishops Stortford.

A10 North to Buntingford

A507 West to Baldock (I used to live here - nice twisty road with an excellent straight)

A505 Northbound through Royston and onto the A11

Staying on the A11 north until the A14

A14 Eastbound to Bury St Edmunds

A134 South to Sudbury

A131 South to Halstead

Staying on A131 South going around Braintree (around as in avoiding)

A120 West back to Birchanger via Dunmow, Takeley etc, for about 3.30-4.00.

As you are the organiser of this event perhaps you could post some form of meeting schedule..

Its only an idea!!!

No, no Paul - this is not the Bruntingthorpe one - having said that, I WOULD like to try that one day too. (Hi Craig :-) )
Paul - I'm not kidding - I can get TOO many cars to come and this DOES become a problem. Zak - are you reading this?

Manu - you serious about getting all those F-cars to come along? This is a drive-out on Saturday 11th in Essex, not the one in Bruntingthorpe right?

Ok, so far we've got a:

360 Modena (Mine)
360 Spider (Joe)
TVR T350 (not on this board)
Diablo (not on this board)
911 Turbo (not on this board)

Let's shift it to Birchanger - easier for everyone and only up the road from Harlow anyway!

1pm looks to be the meeting time if that's ok with everyone - I think we can push it later, but not earlier.

OK Kev sounds good - Everall (in UNSILENCED 550) will be up for it as will Pani (F355 + tubi). We could get Brian, Tony/Jason in his Diablo etc etc.
Ali is coming over to show us his 360 Spider today - We're hoping to do his tubi install next week - when are you able to come down - and we'll co-ordinate that with you.

Bummer! I can't do next weekend; heavy business-type stuff. Otherwise I'd be doing this and the Bruntingthorpe VMax run on Sunday.

Harlow is not far from the 'zone' Manu; in fact I'd suggest you assemble at Birchanger Services (j8 M11, Harlow is J7) and go for a drive Saffron Walden way. This is the route Steve (Trackdemon on PistonHeads) sorted out, and it's a peach! Easy to get lost, but you're never that far away from anything, it just seems like you are. You have to be early though- after 11am you're too likely to get stuck behind other cars. If you go from J8 in the other direction (West) on the A120 then onto the A10 Northbound you end up in Buntingford and can enjoy the A507 to Baldock (just watch out for the Sainsburys lorries). To scale you, it takes me 30 mins to get from Baldock to J8 M11, without hanging the back out.

Alternatively, why not join Craig and the PistonHeads crew at Bruntingthorpe on Sunday http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=63&t=60348

Joe - THIS - *THIS* is the biggest problem in my life at the moment... I HATE waiting for my exhausts to arrive.... (I've got a queue of 11 Spider owners for **** sake)
We should be on for the end of the week..... should be able to confirm later today.
(I LIVE IN HOPE I REALLY DO). :-)

I can bring an entire crew of Ferraris - ALL WITH TUBIS.......
550s, 360s, 355s, and possibly the odd F40 too...

Kevin - are you reading this - you've got some GREAT driving roads near you... but they're miles away from Essex..
Are we flexible about the starting point?

I think you should come up to Yorkshire to go for a run out in the dales. Amazing roads up here - all very twisty and fantasic scenery.

hmmm its a bit of a drive from London i guess, but I'd do anything for a ride in a 360 (well maybe not anything, but you know what i mean :-))

I suggest you head to Portsmouth, then take the Ferry Boat to Bilbao in North Spain. I'll be waiting for you here... :-)

Just kidding :-(

Anyone here in the UK? A couple of us are trying to organise a ride-out for Saturday 11th of this month - I'll have my 360, a friend of mine is bringing along his spanking new TVR. I'm the only F-driver and I know the other people coming would love to see some more F-cars there.

Only 4 of us so far so still quite small! Gladly taking along passengers if we can get enough cars.

No route planned, but it'll be starting in Harlow, Essex! Suggestions welcome.

All subject to the lovely UK weather of course!

Cheers
Paul
