Joe

I have done a number of track days in my 911 at Goodwood on Saturdays and they always sound check at 98db. I tried my 355 and failed the 98 check. I suspect that the Tubi is closer to 105db. Ask easytrack to check - I suspect they may be wrong

Hi James,

My office spoke to the lovely Samantha at easytrack today, the limit is 108db at Weekend , a friend of mine races his Lambo Mercilago and thats loud along with a louder Diablo VT . Not sure what the TUBIS put out, suppose I could pop to Kent High Performance and get mine checked out ;0).

Anyway will let you know and enter your name,

Weather permitting, i'm up for track day.

Joe,

Thought you'd like the shiny ones of the engine bay!

I didn't go on Sunday - it was a recovery day for me - as I stayed up all night to watch the GP! Sounds like Paul & Graham had a blast though! I'd be up for the Goodwood thing, if you're looking to make up the numbers...

Tony - only one of your car - here it is:
Upload

I'm off to Germany this afternoon, so unless I hear otherwise, I'll keep back the pics of the 512TR, 348TS, Kev's 456 & Mark's 550. Back Wednesday so the wait won't be too long...

Thanks Tony. I am definately up for doing this again.

I think it would be useful to have planned stops and contact phone numbers, so if people get split up they have an opportunity to re-join.

Despite that, and the m-bike mishap, we had a fantastic day..adrenalin was still pumping well in to the evening.

Thanks guys - what a great turnout, I thank you all for helping me to christen the 360! We should make that run a regular thing!

I've got some pics and video which I'll upload later today.

Graham (warranty-less TVR) and I headed up to Bruntingthorpe with the Pistonheads gang on Sunday - had a blast, managed 164 through the traps, hoping to get 170+ when I get more familiar with the car. A very well organised event - strongly recommend it!

If you thought Graham was abusing his 3 day old TVR on Saturday, you should have seen him at Brunters - especially the 720 degree spin when he lost it on the last corner - respect :-)

I must say your 360 did sound awesome as you gave it some from the toll booth :-)

Marc, - It may be easier to swipe the reg numbers just in case someone does not want them shown.

It was a fantastic day - apart from the 'motorbike incident'! Could have been worst - he could have been injured.

Or even worst, done some serious damage to the Ferrari! (joke).

I think the worst thing about it was having to stick to 50mph with the space saver on! Anyway, got the superficial scrapes out and getting the wheel fixed tomorrow, so not too bad.

Nice too meet you all and in particular a big thanks to Paul, Brian, Darren & co. for sticking around to make sure we were ok..much appreciated.

One thing that Mike and I were most impressed by was the enthusiasm for the marque displayed by all, and the lack of snobbery from owners who have cars with a monetary value far higher than my 328..genuine people, which was refreshing.

Hope to see many of you again,

Marc.

James,

Your whole car looked imaculate, have you thought of entering concours competition.

A manufacturer that i work with own Autoglym, they hold competions for cars such as yours, I couldnt believe how well kept your car looked... much respect.

This year a gent called Ray Ferguson won the class with his 348ts, I believe this guy also organises the Wessex area FOC .

From the turnout on Saturday why dont we try to organise our own Area or Club meetings?????

Its an Idea to get the ball rolling....anyhow hope to see you and car again soon

Gents,

It was a pleasure to meet you all.

Paul, thank you for organising such a superb afternoon. Soooo glad I have bought my car, absolutley love it.

After hearing the 355's with the tubis I feel a call to scuderia systems is now in order as in comparison mine just sounds feeble.

Would be great to meet up again.

What more can i say, than trying to keep the grin of my face!!

Hey guys,

Cheers Paul for organising that. It was a blast, great roads and some superb machinery to watch and listen to!

Those 355's sound absolutely fantastic, I'll check the footage that I have, I think I've got 2 of you nailing one after the other, sounded like a F1 session!

Look forward to seeing some of the photos, didn't take many myself. :-(

I echo the "must do it again" statements. Definitely.

Thanks Paul. Very pleased my plans changed at the last minute and I was able to join you. Nice friendly crew, and a lovely canter through autumnal countryside. Must do that again; it'd be rude not to.

Tony,

There was a 456 as well - was yours the 355 with the engine bay you could eat you dinner off? :-)

Ricky - I only took a few pictures, but my navigator took some digital video that I can get some stills from. I just need to work out how to connect his camera to my PC!

Darren - you can only edit a post within an hour of posting it!
