Torque, baby (550 owners please tune out). The 360 is lighter, and has significantly more seat of the pants torque than the 355. From a general driving perspective, the 360 is much nicer. The '99 360's are louder, b/c of added pre-cats on the '00 and on 360's. BTW, I like the look and sound of the 355 better, but when I drove 'em both, there was no doubt--360! |

Wow, this is a tough one... The 355 is the more classic design. While I like the 360, I just can't get over the front grill (if you can call it a grill). To me it looks like a large manta ray getting ready to feed. But of course, it is a fantastic car and I would be proud to own one. It's just that I don't. My recomendation, buy a 550. |

I like the 360 and 355 coupe the same. I think they both are beautiful cars. As for the Spider, I would take the 355's clean lines over the 360's anyday. The sound of the 355 wide open, top down, F1 is hard to beat. |

I'm with you Michael. The 355 is good-looking, but I think the 360 beats it hands down. |

Wow I'm surprised. Some of you think the 355 looks better than the 360...I think the 360 looks a lot better. |

The 360 is MUCH better than the 355 in terms of fit and finish, and from I have so far seen will stand the test of time much better. The 360's only downfall are tha aluminum pieces on the interior which are easy to get dirty. Much more space inside on the 360, taller people will find it much more comfortable. The 355 sounds A LOT better than a stock 360, but my de-cated and tubied 360 virtually sounds like an F1 car. The 355 is A LOT smaller in overall size, and feels more strapped-on. But in terms of performance, the 360 is faster and handles better. Design is too subjective to get into... IMHO, if you can afford a 360 over a 355 you should go for it. I think it is a HUGE improvement.... Ernesto |

As a 355 owner, I'd like tto hear from 360 owners as to how much, if any, the newer model advances the quality of overall build and finish. Lets face it, on the open market here in the U.S.,there is about a 50K difference in price. For that, the 360 should be a lot better. Any comments? |

IMO the 360 is a far more dynamically superior car than the 355. I've said this before, but switch off ASR on the 360 and you won't believe how well it resists understeer (which it eventually will do first, if you don't turn in so aggressively). In standard form, IMO the 355 looks better and sounds better.

Early 360's seem to sound a bit better for some reason. Permanently opening the valve in the stock exhaust helps. Tubi'd up and on the pipe, the 360 sound is pretty similar to a so-equipped 355, IMO. Preferred the 355 aesthetic originally. But the 360 has grown on me in a big way. Have come to appreciate the purposeful shape and stance. Looks like it means business without being too disco. Performance numbers are fairly close but the torque advantage of the 360 gives it a big seat-of-the-pants edge, IMO. The 360 feels lighter and the steering more direct than the 355 in my experience. The 360 interior affords a bit more room and comfort than the 355. Both cars are pretty nice. My pick'd be the 360. But I'm with those who say drive both and decide.

A 360 feels different from a 355. The 355 feels and sound wild. When you get in a 360, you feel that it's a much refined and poised car. Power advantage goes to the 360. Of course the advanced aerodynamics allow the 360 to stick to the road like glue. Other than that it's up to you which one you like in terms of styling. Shop around and try them out. |

Drive both. IMO: The 355 sounds better than the 360 The 355 looks better than the 360 More people will recognize it as a Ferrari The 360 is faster than the 355 The 360 handles better than the 355 The 360 is the newest model (if you care) What's important to you? |

Aside from price, is there a good argument for taking a 355 over a 360 or vice-versa? And, what can each of these cars be had for? I see pre-owned 360s going for $200,000+...am i looking in the wrong places? |
