I wonder if they will do the same thing with Maserati now. Since they were out of the US for so long there was no enforcement of logo licensing for years! Be smart; buy now: prices will only go up!!!!! |

I always see them on Ebay. Even the Ferrari dealers sell patches for reasonable amounts... |

Peter, That sounds like a great idea to me. Any upholstery shop could do that. Where would you buy the embroidered shields etc? |

This may start some fires, but here's my suggestion: You can purchase a pair of embroidered SF shields, or the rectangular badge and sew (or have an upholstery shop, if you don't posses the ability to sew... like me ) on the patches to the plain mats. Its not like having the Cavalino embroidered onto the mat itself (which looks great), but an inexpensive alternative... Remember, JMHO... |

Stacy, If you haven't already done so, start calling all Ferrari dealerships and see if anyone has them in stock. I have a set with the cavallino and long F Ferrari logo that was ordered from a dealership back in the 70s. They're quite well-made and have held up well over the years. They still look quite nice today with just some occasional spot-cleaning with Woolite. Barry |

>> Ferrari seems to be the only car company in the world who won't let anybody use their name or logo or (kit car) body styles unless supplier/manufacturor pays license fees. << Nope. Almost all car companies do this. Porsche is even worse than that. |

Sorry to hear that, Stacy - you might have some luck via E-bay (I've seen them from time to time on there). Looks like I purchased my set of Lloyds mats just in time -- perhaps they'll be more valuable now? . |

Sounds about right - Ferrari seems to be the only car company in the world who won't let anybody use their name or logo or (kit car) body styles unless supplier/manufacturor pays license fees. My guess is in about a month you will be able to buy 'official licensed' Ferrari floor mats for around a $1000.00 or so ..... |

I was just about to order a set of Lloyds mats for my 308 when I found out that they will no longer sell them with any ferrari name or logos (cavallino included)on them. Apparently there has been a recent law suit against one of the car mat companies and they are no longer allowed to do so as of March 18th! Talk about bad timing. I tried the local F dealer and they said that their supplier won't make them anymore either. Has anybody else run into this problem or know of a place still willing to make them? |
