I would tend to say that the higher mileage and the fact that it was a concours winner would make the 97 the choice car here. I say higher mileage is better because it means it has been driven more frequently and should be less likely to develop premature leaks and problems due to sitting. Like Bret said, being a concours winner means it has been WELL taken care of at least and should mean that you will be able to know more about the inner car as well from the previous owner. AND it is a newer car...and Ferrari has always been on the ball when it come to mid-production run fixes and upgrades.

They are both TB but would not the 96 hold its value more due to the mileage? |

Are they both the same style? Spyder, Berlinetta, or GTS? If they are the same style and color I would say go for the 97. It is a year newer which means that parts are holding up better, and it is a year further down the road of perfecting the construction of the cars. The later the model the better it was assembled for the most part. Neither one of them has many miles on it as it is, I would prefer the one that has been driven a little more anyway because these cars are meant to be driven and especially with the councourse winning which means it is kept up very well. |

Guys, i am stock in between a 1996 F355 with 7,000 miles or a 1997 F355 14,000 miles. Both cars are in immaculate condition with the 14,000 miles being a concourse winner with the 15k service completed by the ferrari dealer. I can buy bought of them at the same price but can not tell which one is a better value for the money down the line.
need help! what do you guys thing. |
