Nope, haven't gotten a chance to drive it, but I did go in it. I took those pics just after he got it, had under 300 miles on it. It would have been pretty nerve racking driving it when it was that new. Who is putting a VTEC motor into a Mini?? I would love to see that. |

Hi Lawrence, You're right. There is the yellow one (which is in beautiful shape), mine is black (will be beautiful eventually) and a red over black one (in good shape) is back from Saskatoon. Grant |

Actually Grant, I think I may know one of the 512BBs. My housebuilder had a yellow with boxer trim. Apparently it was one of the first ones imported into North America. He used to race it in the Virginia City Hillclimb. I think he's sold it though. |

Hi David, Grant You got that right about Victoria being British Grant. My boss is restoring a mini right now, well actually modifying it. He's putting in a Honda v-tech into the thing |

Hi Simon, Thanks for the invite but I have a company golf tourny that weekend (not that I can play mind you). I used to live and work in Cowtown back 1982 - 1990. I had a house in the Sundance area which was way in the outskirts at the time. |

Hi D B, thanks for the offer but I have a digital camera already, just need to find the time... Do you get to drive your cousins 360?

David, In talking to the local mechanics there are about ten ferrari's on the island. Some in Victoria and a couple more up island. I believe he said there were three or four 308s, a couple 328s, a 348, a mondial and several TRs. By comparison Calgary is loaded with ferrari's. I was stunned to find out that mine was the third 512BB in town. I think there are about forty or fifty ferrari's of all varieties in Calgary. The preference here is much more British than other parts of the country. They really like the old British sports cars here. Grant |

Lawrence, I occaisionally travel to Victoria, I have never seen any Ferrari, except at he Toys R Us, store, right off the main drag into town. :-) BTW, that Toys R Us had a great selection of Ferrari Hotwheels stuff in 1/18, 1/43 and the little cars too, when I was last in there (spring). |

Hi Lawrence. I've got Sandro in Calgary doing the rebuild. He has a tremendous amount of ferrari experience but it's a small shop . That means he works on my car when he gets a chance to. The car will be on the island some time next year. Should be able to do the Italian Car Show next year. Don't know Godfrey but do know Gary at Forward and like his work. Grant |

Hey Lawrence, if you live anywhere near Calgary, ALberta, come out on the August 25th MegaDrive I'm organizing... we're doing a trip through the highwood pass. Awesomely scenic :D It's nice to see another Ferrari enthusiast from Canada, even though I don't own (and probably never will own) a Ferrari |

Lawrence, I wish it was mine...unfortunately it's my cousins, one of his many nice cars. You can see more pics of it in the Showroom under "360 Spider". I live in Broadmead. If you don't have a digital camera, I can take some pics for you if you like. |

Hi Grant, Peter Joseph does most of my servicing. For regular oil changes I'll go to Gary at Forward automotive. Yeah I know Joseph does other cars but he would rather work on Ferraris. I didn't know there was a boxer on the island Grant! Great car! I'd love to see it! Who's doing your rebuild? Do you know Godfrey Archbold who owns the red Daytona? Maybe we can all go together to the Italian car show next year? |

Hi Peter, my boxer is all black. It's also been in the shop now for about a year and a half. The engine is getting rebuilt and getting some of the parts has been quite a challenge. Recently, it took almost four months to locate and obtain rings. Most of the interior should be done by year end and hopefully it will be on the road this year. If we are lucky we will be able to take it to the Italian Car Show next year. Grant |

Grant, I noticed in your profile you have a '79 Boxer. Is it Red with Boxer trim and a black interior? I saw it at last years Italian Car show in N. Van... |

Lawrence, the previous owner of my car had it serviced at Joseph's. From what I've heard he does service other, older Italian cars (local Lambos and Masers). |

Thanks for the welcome David, Peter! I guess from your monikers that Peter owns a 308 GT4 and David owns a 330 GTC? Peter, since you're just outside of Vancouver, do you know Joseph in North Van? He's a Ferrari mechanic who bad-mouths anything BUT Ferraris! He's a great mechanic though, who did my 15K tune-up a few months back. D B, I live in Gordon Head, where abouts do you live? |

Hello Lawrence, I think Victoria is beautiful. You are very fortunate to live there. I have also been interested in Ferraris for over 25 years. Time sure flies when you are having fun. Welcome to the board. |

Yeah, I've seen the yellow one, but never yours. You should definitely drive it more often. Do you live out in the boonies? Have you got any pictures of your car?

Hi D B, yeah I don't drive it very much which I should! I drive it mainly around the Saanich peninsula but never downtown (traffic's bad). There's another TR and it's yellow/black. There's also a '69 red Daytona coupe, several 308's and a couple of 328's. Just saw a white mondial cab the other day. When I was a member of the FCA I used to organize Ferrari events on the May long weekend with local cars and from Vancouver (Ferraris, Lambos, Maseratis, etc). We always had a blast going up the island! |

Hi Jay, Paul! I'm from beautiful Victoria, BC. Thanks for the welcome! I've been a member of the FOC and the FCA and more recently Ferrariworld. On Sept 19 I'm headed to Maranello to tour the factory plus the Ducati factory on the 21st with some friends of mine. I'm very excited! Hopefully I'll get to meet some of the Ferrari people while I'm there. Can't wait to try out the Italian lifestyle!

Hi from Canada everyone, I'm new here. I read about this forum in the latest issue of Forza! My name's Lawrence and I've been living and breathing Ferrari's for the last 25 years! (Yeah I'm that old). I currently own a black/black 88 TR which I love! I also collect Ferrari memoriabilia and models. Well, just wanted to say hi and I hope to be posting more soon. Ciao, Lawrence |
