Wow, Jeffrey...beautiful "hacienda" you have there -- and I absolutely love that garage (including the cars)!

Well, this was a little hard as my house doesn't lend itself to this kind of photo. The shot of the house is actually a 3 picture composite (clumsily) done in PhotoShop. The car in front just didn't show well, so I included a stand-alone of the car-I love this new camera!

OK, so these pictures show an inside & outside view of my garage, with a few members of my posse working on my rides!

I couldn't find any pics with the Ferrari in front though,
So a page from this Magazine article will have to do for now...

Oh, alright. Here's my car next to my oceanfront parcel in Big Sur, Texas.

Seriously, I do not have a picture of my car in front of my house. Maybe I'll take one this weekend & post it. Then I might have to join William & get a bodyguard!!

Admit it, you just wanted to see my house, right?
I like it. Especially the trash can in front of the picture. What you can not see on this picture is the classy 20yard container on the left hand side of the lawn.

Crack on a driveway! I once drove in a area in Fla that has trailer parks and parked right next to one of the trailers we a late model red Corvette.

OK...here's a pic of our humble abode...of course, with the 308 parked in front (just to show you where my priorities really are ). Snapped this pic just a couple of days after purchasing the car last October / November.

Ooops...just noticed I have a crack in my driveway -- don't tell the wife!

Nick - It's like you chose the colour of the Ferrari based on your house...matches almost perfectly! :-)

I wish I could take pics of the Ferrari in front of one of my cousins houses...but about 3000 miles stops me from doing that. The house is spectacular, close to 40,000 sq ft, with soooo many places to take great shots. Next time I'm there I'll try. I've heard his other houses in Malibu, Michigan, and the Hamptons would be great too, but I haven't made it to those yet.

My house in Irvington is currently for sale. We like old, funky, big-assed houses with interesting architecture/details; we are currently looking at a couple of places in Tuxedo Park, a "walled community" before there were such things, but a little out of the way, so an old mansion there is 1/2 the price of one in Westchester; we are also smitten with the Hudson River, and short of moving waaaay upstate to get property on the river, we are thinking about a town, between Piermont and Nyack, called Grandview on Hudson, which has some beautiful old victorians on the river. I love houses; like ferraris, if i was rich enough, i'd have a bunch of them. we have a knack for taking places and making them far more attractive thru a combination of light reno/paint/decorating-furnishing/landscaping/lighting, etc.We have decided to make this a business, since my wife's marketing business pretty much went kaput after 9-11. Thus, we have been hunting for badly bruised properties that, with a little spit and shine, can be flipped for a profit. Did i say i liked houses?

Houses are no fun anyways. Pools always have to be treated, tennis courts crack, always need maid service, electric bills, grounds keeping, FURNITURE, CLEANING CLEANING CLEANING, eventually you start working for the house.

I think apartment life is the way to go. Or one of those Four Season condo deals where it's a condo but you get everything the hotel has too ie. maid service, concierge etc. I wouldn't mind getting a condo in the AOL / Time Warner building in manhattan, but can you justify 1,000,000 for a studio, low floor????? Probably 900 sq ft.

The sad thing is that a lot of folks out there have cars worth less than their Ferraris. Or worse yet, they have a Ferrari but rent their house. Or even worse, they finance or lease their Ferrari. My advice to people who want to own a Ferrari in the future: 1)get an education; 2)save for your retirement; 3)buy a house; 4) save for a rainy day; and 5)then and only then buy(not finance) a toy such as a Ferrari

Seriously, I have a property maintenance company. I cater to affluent clientele and trust me 90% of the time I am talking to the wife. Mr. Man is out making the bucks to pay for the place.

The man maintains the car, the wife maintains the house!

I was just thinking that yesterday about how they sell a car with a terrible picture. C'mon alot of the sell job is in the presentation. Any retailer can tell you that.

I was wondering about F-Car owners houses.

So many of the F-cars for sale with picures have a beautiful car in front of a crappy house or car dealership. Broken driveways, uncut grass, other cars that are junk, etc...

1st, do you live in a nice house or salvage all funds for the f-car?
2nd, a suggestion, if you're going to sell your car, at least take the picture in front of a nice house or nice backdrop!! (or in the case of the e-bay guy, in the living room!!)
3rd, this goes for dealers too. So many of them have nice cars in crappy showrooms and/or in front of a crappy storefront.

I would feel uncomfortable about buying a car from someone who doesn't even maintain their house. Thoughts?????
