Thanks for the tips guys! (especially the clean underwear) lol. Ross, I think Ferrari opened their first ever super-store near the factory so I'm definitely going there! They have simulators so that I can pretend to be Schumacher!

Any non-Ferrari shops (gotta get something for the wife you know)?

Dave...Wrong month Italy is closed in August

I was in Maranello in October and weather was a little chilly, but it dosent get to cold because there are palm trees in Rome. Weather similiar to South Eastern United States.

Money and perfect walking shoes. You can't wear shorts to see the Pope.

I can virtually guarantee that no matter what you pack the weather will be the opposite. That's why God made stores. Happy shopping. BTW, in the process i've found wonderful places to shop in Europe.

fresh underwear! always have fresh underwear!

my addition to that....

"...the rest you can buy at the Ferrari store in Maranello!"

steve's right about the weather, although it can get pretty hot in italy, so be prepared for that too. regarding the shops, ferrari just opened a shop somehwere near the factory that has every imagineable piece of memorabilia you can imagine, and the prices are reportedly not so bad either.

Lawrence,

Will be at the factopry at about the same time. Since i visit London/Italy during Sept each year... Bring a light windbreaker for some warmth and to handle light rain. Avoid shorts as the weather is cool (65F) and can warm up to about 75F during the day. As always, weather can be variable, so plan on an average of 70F give or take 10F and you should be fine.

Hope this helps.

Enjoy the Ride,

Steven R. Rochlin

London today is low 20's degrees centigrade, its cloudy and there's a definite possibility of rain.

This time of year is very variable in London, it may be sunny in the morning, but there's always the chance of rain! Its unlikely to get that cold though, so that's some consolation.

Enjoy your trip!

Hi guys/gals,

I'm headed to the factory on Sept 18. Anyone who has been to Italy around this time, what do I pack for clothes? Is it still pretty hot over there? Also, any recommendation for which shops for Ferrari stuff in Maranello and Modena I should browse around in?

Is the UK (ie London) warm at this time of year or should I bring a rain coat?

Thanks for your time!
