The only reason that I can think of the 355 keeping up with the GT-1 is because of the fact that the GT-1 was probably being babied through the turns, and only given full throttle on the straights. If driven to its fullest potential, the GT-1 would be out of sight. Just put yourself in the owner's shoes(Art). You are looking at a 1.2 million dollar machine that is one of only 3. It would take serious balls to run it at 100%. |

Love that video! keep those coming, cant get enough of it. Just checked that link out Ben, and all I can say is -oh my god- .... that F50 GT1. (the sound of it too!) ...Shame it never participated at le mans. Wonder how it would've performed. those specs are just unbelievable. 750 HP at 10,500 RPMs, Carbon Fiber chassis, Carbon rotors, 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds 235 MPH top speed Kind of makes me wonder why the 355 managed to keep up with it. Also, I'm really curious how this car would go vs. the Enzo. That should be interesting to say the least.

Chris...from the video I see you don't really need brakes! Sorry to hear you won't be there, but I am sure I will get another chance to see your F40 run. |

That is a great video! I am starting to get into the racing side more and more. I used to just like a shiny red f-car in a posh shopping center, but now I am going back more to the roots of racing. We have a small gathering in Texas tomorrow and it will be my first "race" attended so I am looking forward to it. Rumor is there may be an F40 there. I have the video camera ready! |

AWESOME Video! Absolutely wondeful!!!! Chris is your F40 running the LM straight pipes out the back? You mentioned it was going to be de-catted... Also is that the adjustable GTE/LM (getting confused now???) rear wing on the back? Glad to hear those brakes are being sorted! That F50 GT1 sounded unbelievable, simply staggering....headers going into the air I'd imagine! |

That's Doug from the NSX files. He's a great driver. He can run a car at almost 20% ;p |

Very cool video I'm just surprised that 355 was able to keep up. http://67.89.24.162/dhayashi/f50_fontana_part2_final_rev2.wmv |
