Sorry William, I didn't get your message until I already got home today. You can get to Norwoods from the hotel by going east on 114 to the Loop 12 exit (by Texas Stadium) and then going north on Loop 12 over the river and take that first Northwest Highway exit. Do the little U turn back under Loop 12 and head south on the service road. It's the first group of industrial park buildings on the right (west). Norwoods is the first one. It's only a total of about 2 miles from the hotel. I don't think they'll have anyone there on Saturday, but stop by next week. James Gardner is the GM and is very helpful. |

Rob, where is the Norwood's house ? I am at Dallas also. Look me up in Rm 2607, going to the track today wearing light colored shorts a white T shirt with a cartoon car on the back. I spoke with Phil Hill & I told him we had met at Lime Rock & he had signed an old PLAYBOY with him in it, he says "I was in PLAYBOY ?" I said " Well u werent posing but there was a short article about you" LOL As I left the concours I saw 2 VIP cars being flatbedded, to the track perhaps ? A GORGEOUS little 206SP Dino race car, looks like a mmini 330 P4 & another, alll red, 250 LM, so the fun continues. BTTW, in May 2002, the FCA annual meet is in Los Angeles, so get your 9MM & your bullet proof vest on Homies I head its being held in East LA & the FCA is having the first ever Jumping Car competition taking place at the Concours |

I'm still recovering, no Ferrari lover should ever be subjected to that much at one time. I saw my first ever live 166, 212, 250 GTO, 250 LM, 250 California, 365 GTB/4, 275 GTB/C, 250 SA, 2000 F1, 250 TR, 290 MM, and 333. There were probably 5 dozen Ferraris in the concours and then another 2 dozen in the parking lot. Almost every Ferrari represented from 166 through to current model line. It's easier for me to tell you what I didn't see... F50, 365 Daytona Spyder, and... um, that was about it. I got Phil Hill's autograph and said buon giorno to Mr. Scaglietti himself. I met several other FerrariChat.com users, including Jerry(Jerry) and Ron(328infoseeker). Norwoods had their open house. They had about 10 Ferraris there. The best is the F50 twin turbo that runs on a mix of 100 octane race fuel and alcohol. I took 2 rolls of film, but that won't be ready until early next week. The next 3 days are on the track. |
