Here is a picture of my garage.
I made the shield as a mosaic. Made from broken color tile and set in mastic. The rest of the garage is tiled. In the front we have a checkered line.
My wife thinks I am crazy.

In my 40 by 60 shop/ garage I started with a pit and was offered a car lift. I mounted the lift over the pit and cap the pit with 1.125 plywood when not in use. The lift used was about $2000. The shop has a 12 foot ceiling and the lift actually goes around one of the ceiling joists. If you search, for a few thousand you can get a small low profile garage lift, most often sold as a remedy to put 3 or 4 cars in a 2 car garage. These work very nicely too.

Im ready for a party. This was prom weekend and we went to my friends shore house. His house is awesome. He has a couple boats and jet skis which were cool. I took the Ferrari down there and he had his pimp BMW, another kid had down his CLK 430 and his neighbor has a Viper and a Rolls, his dad has a S500, it was pretty cool to see all the cars together.

David, Aug 2-6 when the FCA is at Lime Rock in CT I'll have some friends over to the garage :) Hope to install a small bathroom, maybe a bedroom, & a ginat screen projection TV downstairs to watch LeMans over the roofs of my Babies :)

Here's the hoist I welded up to lift the engine out of my car. Its bolted to the ceiling joists (2x8's), above which is the kitchen. Didn't even flex when lifting (2x3x1/4" steel tube, 10ft long)

Dina has a pit ! Sounds good Sam ! Yeah, in my spare time I train "Pit Bull Terriers". It's actually my Alfa friend who has the service pit. Very rare in CA. He started as a Diesel specialist back in the 50's and built the pit to work on trucks which were to tall to put on a hoist. I am very fortunate he lets me use his garage (and pit) My tight garage only just fits my GTB and the heaps of sentimental junk I should get rid off!

Sam, I believe pits are put into English garages to collect the oil leaking from their Jag, MG & Triumph engines!

I was curious as to how owners equip their home garage for the Ferrari, I was thinking of installing a hydaullic lift ( I think I need 14.5 ft cleing though) and was wonerding if anyone has done this in their home...I know Dina has a pit but I am not sure how common that is here in US although I know they are common in English garages (these guys dig their own hole and hten buy a plastic liner (like a pool) that fits inteh hole) any other appointments for the Ferrari garage or pics would be interesting.
