I have not been flipped off or called a pimp. I think the vanity plate has something to do with it. The plate can be viewed in the showroom. The closest sexual or anatomical comment I've had was at a shopping center where a couple of guys in their mid twenties said that if they had a car like mine then they could get some serious p*s*y! I told them that I was getting serious p*s*y but that it had nothing to do with the car! They laughed. Dan |

Entered my 1979 308 GTS in a car show as a whim last weekend. Unbelievable comments and compliments from the youngest kids to the oldest adults. Competed with everthing from drag cars to Classics to hot rods to Vettes - took People's Choice Trophy - most votes from the public against all other cars (biggest trophy too!) The most interesting and appreciated car there. Really surprised that most people, even little kids, knew what it was and were so impressed. |

I have noticed when I am driving my 308 that all the kids rev their engines at me and want to race. I have never been flipped off because of the car. Those little turds were just jealous as all can be, and wished they were you. I'd take it as a compliment! I have noticed that generally people love Ferraris, but not as much as we do!! |

Had mine TR for about 3 years. Haven't gotten any bad "feedbacks". Everyone always wants to race you or have you rev it up and run. I usually rev it up and sometimes give it a run depending on my mood. Usually I don't race the people that wants to race me. Welcome to the pimpclub, now you just have to get some ladies working for ya. James |

Yeah, Ferraris are cool. They all have that sweet look to them, unmistakable with any other car. |

Congratulations Greg; about that comment....WHO CARES! You lean back in your italian leather seats, handcrafted for comfort and racing, you enjoy the smell of the same leather as you cruise around each corner. Your car makes almost 90° turns possible at high speed. Your color shines in the sun and the car looks just like it left Maranello 12 years ago. WHO CARES!!!!! If that is being a pimp...I am a pimp too. Good to have a fellow 348TS. Welcome! |

Greg- Welcome to the ferraristi! I had some of the same reactions when I first got my 355 Spyder. It's so smooth, you don't necessarily feel how fast you're going. The mid-engine arrangement makes the car turn "around" you...it doesn't throw you around like front-engine cars I've driven. Enjoy! Fred |

...of my new (to me) 89 348ts. Been out having a blast! A few random comments: 1. The reactions you get in this car are interesting. Mostly, people stare, give you thumbs up, etc, which is very cool. One guy came to almost a complete stop in the middle of a turn at a light to check it out. But, I did have a kid (looked about 17 or so) yell out of his window "you're a pimp" several times, and his passenger flipped a finger while I was stopped at a stop sign. Geez! Does this happen to you guys? I wasn't wearing gold chains or anything - honest! ;-) 2. I traded a 1999 Corvette convertible for this car. The Corvette is quicker, but it felt MUCH quicker. In the Ferrari, everything is very smooth, and it just doesn't feel like you're accelerating that hard, then I look down at the speedo and I'm doing 20 mph over what I thought. What gets me, though, is I don't feel the same G-force in my back as I have in other cars. Oh well...the sound more than makes up for it! Ok, enough typing...looks like it's not going to rain after all... Greg |
