For a PPI you might also want to check with Evans in Columbus. He works on many old and new Italian exotics. M.A.G. is a new Ferrari dealer and most of their techs are probably trained on newer cars. Sometimes the independents are better with the older cars IMO.

Frank,

In case you don't recognize Mershon's as a dealer: http://www.mershons.com/others.asp.
The Boxer is near end of this section of the site. No clue if they are good or bad but around for a bit in the Corvette world.

Sorry to hijack your topic - but I love to talk airplanes. I used to have a 182 RG. Probably the best personal single around. Very reliable and relative cheap to operate. I'd recommend a Seneca for a personal twin [moved into that after the 182]. Both have great useful load envelopes - and have very docile handling qualities. Used both them both to travel back and forth between Ohio & Florida [although - that became a very long trip in the 182 :-)].Let me know when you start looking @ 182s - I'll be happy to help however I can. Airplanes are a disease just like cars. I went from a Beech Sport, to Cessna 182RG, to Piper Seneca II, to Cessna 340A Ram VI, to Cessna 421B & Cessna 421C [the B is our corporate aircraft and the C is personal]. Seriously considered a Pilatus instead of another 421 - but I still don't have enough total time to convince the insurance company to cover me in a turbine :-(.

Also, back to the topic at hand - found that Boxer you wanted to check out on e-bay. Let me know what you'd like me to do if anything. I'll be out of town until Friday eve - so if you need something done sooner hopefully John will be able to help you out. Else - I'll be able to run out to Springfield on Saturday if you have a list of specifics you would like extra attention paid to. I do have a copy of the Boxer buyers guide from Forza somewhere at home if you don't already have that.

Frank,
What was the White Plains car like? I saw that the price was way low. Miller has a nice 84 that you would have a hard time finding fault with but it is a solid red full repaint, red piping with 18k miles. Maintenance is current and due in three years maybe. On consignment for around 82. Been there for two years.

Frank - I'm in Dayton so it's less than a 30 minute trip for me. I can take a look for you but would only be able to give you a cosmetic & drving report.

Springfield is between Dayton & Columbus. MidWest Auto Group is in Columbus and they are the local Ferrari Dealer if you need a PPI.

PS. What do you fly? We have 2 Cessna 421s [and a 340 for sale if you know anyone interested].
