sorry Wayne for getting this back up again, but it already was on #3 and I had to say it :-)

Martin, I think that Tony or some other Greaseball responded to the topic again, and that Rob removed that reaction.
Maybe Rob could clear this up.
Otherwise it would just be a bug in the board I guess.

Wayne, As much as I agree with you about the re-occurrence of this thread the whole purpose of this forum is to post, or respond, when one feels he should. To govern or control the responses of others is not what is intended here. Regards, Magoo

I know that by posting I'm only keeping this at the top of the page that much longer, but I would like to humbly request that we just let this and other similar threads die so that F-Chat can return to business as normal in as quick a manner as is possible. I'm sure you will all agree. Thank you.

Once a guy proves that he is only trying to create problems on the chat line just stop responding to his posts. No response, No one to fuel his purpose.

I definitely agree as well but it's funny that these terrorist attacks seem to never be ignored! To succeed in this we actually have to do it. I would make my day to actually see ZERO REACTION to this childish attention-grabbing behavior.

I completely agree, I still don't understand the motivation. Then again, I could not list all actions that I don't understand the motivation for. Ignoring their replys to legitimate posts will also drive them away. It seems that many of them try to suck people in and then keep the nasty threads alive.

I am a member of a Porsche list and we get these types of folks every now and again. So much so, that some members have elected to leave the list. We call these antagonizers, "Trolls". First and last rule with these boneheads...do not feed them. They WILL go away if there is no food.

I whole heartedly agree. Little pimples like MufDyver will simply go away. All they want is to instigate us into saying things to them. Ignore them and they go away.

With the recent proliferation of threads aimed to flame and nothing else, I just want to reiterate what has been posted before. I believe the best defense against these threads is to ignore them completely and they will go harmlessly into the archives. In this we are all acting as moderators and we will be letting the actions of the board speak. hopefully others agree and it seems to be the approach most are taking

just my 2 cents.
