"The reason why the Challenge wheel is not recommended for street use is because it is too soft and will bend easily under certain circumstances." Not true Viken - it CAN withstand road use - it simply hasn't gone through the road homologation processes... Why? Becuase Ferrari would rather have you buy their own 3-piece modular wheel. (perhaps they have a better deal with speedline than BBS..) |

>> Its a legal issue. The challenge wheels are probably not DOT << Actually, DOT does not have wheel guidelines such as Germany's TUV. The reason why the Challenge wheel is not recommended for street use is because it is too soft and will bend easily under certain circumstances. Ferrari doesn't want to answer to complaints arising from such issues. |

It's bull Lou - I've spoken to a very knowledgeable independent Ferrari specialist - the challenge wheels are fine for road use..despite their light weight he reckoned them to be stonger than the stock wheels... nonetheless they have to be sold as a "competition wheel"... Go figure... I think Ferrari will not let you have a set unless you quote them a Challenge s/n.... certainly these wheels are not as widely available as they should be... I wonder why? |

BBS makes a street version of the wheel, but as of the last time I checked they didn't have a 360M application. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/DisplayWheel.jsp?wheelMake=BBS&wheelModel=CH&wheelFinish=Bright+Silver+Paint Ernesto |

I've had a few folks including dealers tell me the 360 challange wheels are not recomended for normal street use, too light and therfore break easily; really designed for track use which generally don't have potholes or extremely rough surfaces. Anyone else have input? |

>> Any pics on the challenge rims which is an option on the 360's << The Challenge wheels are NOT a factory option on the street-legal 360 versions.

They want like 3000 for stock ones, you can usually pick them up for less than 2500 though if you look around at the dealerships. I've seen a 360 Modena with Challenge wheels on it, never seen a spyder though they would obviously fit. I think you can only get them afterwards though from aftermarket places, or probably a dealership would hook you up. I need to get a life, I know way too much about 360 rims, I don't even have a 360. |

Last I heard they want like $8-10G aftermarket for them, so I would say you guys did well getting them right off the bat. |

Thanks for the response everyone. The cost was app. $2600 when I ordered the car, probably not a bad deal. |

These are the 360 Barchetta wheels. At work a couple of spyders have come in with them or to get them swapped for the stock ones that were on the car. I think they're pretty cool to be honest. I like the normal rims a lot, but on the spyders they add something, just a nice look. These things are expensive as hell afterwards, I don't know what the option costs, but I would bet it's less so if you like them I would get them on it from the factory. Just my $.02 |

I like them - aren't they similar to the barca wheels. How much is this option. I though I remember it being expensive |

My number has come up after 2 year wait for a 360 coupe. I ordered the option of the 3 piece wheels and my question is "Has anyone taken delivery of a 360 with these and what are your thoughts"? Pictures would be great. Thanks |
