Retirement must not be going well if you still have an office and a secretary! Lighten up.

Well....I guess we know who the F-Chatter is....Whew!!! I've dealt with enough dead beats in my life (not saying that you fall in this category Frank) to know that when someone starts swearing when an inquiry is made about payment, the check is NOT in the mail. No apologies from me. You seem like an angry person Frank...lighten up and smell the roses, life is too short. FYI: MY life is far from shallow. Jerry

I had to chime in on this. I have done hundreds of internet transactions and I would have been upset too. How much more can you ask for? He sends you the part overnight without being paid first. This is more than some trust on his part. Every transaction on Ebay is on a pre-pay basis. What a nice guy and then you are cursing at him. What the hell is wrong with you? I am not saying that you are a scam artist but an ungrateful bastard is not far from the truth. Next time maybe someone will gold plate it for you. Get back to reality. Next time you order something from out of town ask them to send it first and not bill you; see how it goes. I am sure they will see it your way.

Frank, this website is our support group. When you told him he may never get a check you revealed yourself as a "potentially" dishonest person. Any reasonable person would assume that. Just make it right and everything will be fine.

Seems like a misunderstanding and address screw ups. Obviously Frank intends to correct the problem. Maybe everybody jumped the gun a bit. The proof is in the puddin'. So Frank and Noel be sure to keep us posted as to the outcome.

Frank: A little harsh.

Others: I bought a back issue of Forza from a fellow compatriot. He sent it via Priority Mail. I was wondering where it was only to see it arrive about a week after the postmark. Damn fine P.O. efficiency.

OK Dr Tommy's and Jerry what nots. Mr Noel gave an address to send a check. But Mr. Noel gave an address with his name which should have been the company name at the start of the address. Mr. Noel said he would call but sent an email instead.
Being a retired individual I wasn't at my office to read this email. Because of incorrect info I had to stop the first check, and direct my secretary to send another check. The comments from
some of you prove your shallow lifestyles! However, life goes on. We'll just wait and see if there will be postings affirming apologies. And by the way Noel, maybe you and Senor Tommy should seek sympathy from a support group.

I would wait longer than 4 days. I've ended up waiting over a month before letters with payment arrived for me.
A few times even my envelopes never even arrived at their location after waiting almost 2 months! 5 finger discounts in the mail room are not uncommon. Still, he could have been more accomodating.

Thanks for the opinion guys. For awhile there I felt that I am the one being unreasonable for not being patient.

I am told that the check is on it's way. I am going to give it another week and hopefully it works out.

Just tell us who it is, and the address of the individual thereafter.

A few ebay scams were caught from S2000 owners on S2ki.com - thanks to the guys in Irvine, they formed some time ago their group: T.I.T.S. (TeamIrvineTeamSpeed). You can see their findings in this thread for one, and a few others that are around.

So... lets locate the guy, and track him down if he becomes that hostile.

I would give him a few more days to get you the money and if it doesn't show up you should out him!

Sure it's a scam. You didn't get paid. If he said the post office lost it, that's bullshit. One stupid little envelope? I suppose it is possible but I think it is more possible he never mailed it.

The details are a little vague to determine if you were scammed or not. I know I've had many problems in the past when it came to relying on the efficiency of the US Postal system. I wouldn't immediately take an accusatory stance with the fellow, but in the meantime find out what you can about him. Hopefully you aren't on track to learn an expensive lesson.

Please tell me if this is an MO of a scam artist.

I sold an item to a fellow ferrarichat member. Since he's a fellow ferrarichat member, I shipped it next day-air w/o hesitation. He confirmed that he received it. A week passed, I still dont have his check. So I asked him to re-send another check to another address, 4 days later I still dont have the check. So I called to inquire and asked for assurance from him. He became very offensive & blame me for all the fault and started swearing at me and wouldnt guarantee that i will get a check.

Is this a scam? Any opinion on how to work with an unreasonable individual?

TIA!
