here's the Market letter link - 60k for a TR - youll be lucky to find one in great shape for that price. ive seen alot of so called mint cars - which were a joke to say the least.

I always thought body mods were the kiss of death for resale value. You probably wouldn't get the investment back.

I am not your best bet as I tend to lowball everyone on there tr's. I have champagne tastes and a beer budget.

The price is high in my opinion, however I know a Ferrari dealer just sold a red/tan 91 tr for $77K with full services done that totaled $17K I think so $60K for tr plus svs??

TR prices are all over the place right now from $47K to $89K depending on year/miles/condition/color etc. Anything over $60K is too much to me.

I also say skip the 512M body mods. Take the $20K and get a real 512TR.

Good luck.

THey do all smoke intermittantly on start up due to the flat 12 design. I don't like the idea of 512M body mods. The car looks better as is. As far as buying a a lot of sets and doing a body kit I doubt there are many takers who would do it to their car. Buy a 512TR instead with the extra money and have a lot better car.

Where do I find the Ferrari Newsletter? Is it available online?

Any thoughts on the 512M 'body mod'?

Omar,

Price seems to be a little high - might want to check with Ferrari Marketletter regarding other cars available - i have a 90, and yes they all smoke a little on start up - normal - im in love with the car, a common problem with them is with the electrical fuse box (located in the front of the car) you should inspect this box for burnt connectors, wire harnesses etc. It will be interesting to see if the previous owners address this problem area, and how well they did it.

Just a thought, if possible, we can do a group buy and buy the parts from a discount dealer at a lower cost?

Also, if modifications are necessary to the parts, I can buy alot of sets and more or less market the finished parts as a body kit for the TR...

...just thoughts

I personally love TRs. Couple questions:

If I bought a 91 TR, is there a aftermarket company that will do a complete warrenty on the car? I know of such for NSXs, they go around 3000 for a complete one. Anything like that out there?

other thing, I saw in the gallery a gen 1 TR w/ 512M front bumpers and tail( http://server.ferrarichat.com/~ferrari/ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/18/4799.html?1020199855 ). I love the design. If I wanted to do such how much would it cost (approx.)? How much are the parts alone? which parts are needed?

Do all TRs smoke a little on start up because they are "flat" engines and the oil is resting on instead of around the chambers?

I was looking at this car: it is right near my home. Any one else see the car or have input on the dealer? Is the price fair or too high?

tahnks all for your input and help!
