I too have a Team Voodoo knob in my 308. The feel is fantastic. I'm amazed at the quality for the money. -Rod |

JPM: The 1.875 knob is almost exactly the same size as the stock knob in a 355 or 360. That's what I put in mine and is in the pictures. I also got a plain (no shift pattern) 2" knob. I have large hands, and I really like the way it *feels*, but it *looks* just slightly top-heavy at the end of that big stalk in the 308/QV. I've noticed that newer (and some older) Ferraris have much shorter shift stalks than mine does, and the 2" would look much better on a shorter one. Mike |

Mike, thanks for the info! Team Voodo list 1.875" and 2" diameter knobs. Which one did you put in your Ferrari? John |

Kevin: Yes, I'm pretty sure Bob (Voodoo) will ship internationally if you pay the actual shipping cost; just ask him. As far as the Challenge pedals go, they're actual Ferrari spare parts. I bought them from my local Ferrari dealer... they're the 355 Challenge replacement pedals. They *do* fit 355's, 348's, 308's and 328's, no problem, though you do have to drill two mounting holes in each of your regular pedals. If your dealer doesn't have them, I saw them in the catalog from ItalianCarParts.com but their $200 price for the set of 3 is about 1/3 higher than what the Ferrari dealer charged me! Dealer list prices are are $46 for brake pedal cover, $46 for clutch pedal cover, and $57 for gas pedal cover (includes fasteners for all). That's $149 for the set, minus a "FerrariList" discount which made it even lower. If you want to see a bigger pictures of the pedals in my car, they're posted at www.mlcpartners.com/ferrari/308peds.htm

That is very cool. My shift knob has been cracked since I got it (can't see it from the front, but snake your neck behind and it looks like it went through the battle of Verdun, no doubt some fool over tightening) and I have been always eyeing the aluminum ones, but there is no way in hell I would spend what they want for them usually. Thanks Mike, looks like I have some ordering to do this thanksgiving break. |

FYI - Voodoo Bob will also offer a polished Ti knob as well, but the price is $130. I'm on my second one - first was stolen. =/ You can have them engraved as well (Al or Ti). |

Mike, that's great news! I'm ordering one tomorrow. Can't resist at that price -- thanks for your efforts! Bruce, I purchased a halon extinguisher / bracket from Comp. Components not long ago. Only difference was that mine came with a stainless finish w/ F-logo and black mounting bracket. People always comment how it is a nice added visual touch to the vehicle. They sell units for Porsche cars as well (w/ logo) -- I plan to order one for the 944 soon. |

Mike, Where did you get those challenge pedals? Can they fit the 348? Do VooDoo ship international?

Yeah, that *is* a nice price. I just got a catalog in today's mail from ItalianCarParts.com, and they want $129.95 for THEIR Ferrari aluminum shift knob! That gives you an idea of the mark up on some of this stuff, just because it goes "on a Ferrari". For the price that the Voodoo folks are charging, that's a nice simple (and inexpensive) upgrade, and I can quickly put the old knob back on if I need to for concours. |

As far as the fire extinguisher, that's a Halon unit I bought from "Competition Components"... they had a display at the FCA national meet in Atlanta a few years ago, but I know they also advertise in just about every issue of Forza. Nice red finish with the Ferrari sticker already on it. I've had several people ask me if it came with the car, it looks somewhat "factory". The mount I made myself, but I posted the plans/instructions at www.tradetutor.com/raceprep/

If you can convince your friend to manufacture aluminum shift paddles for the 360 F1 to replace the cheap plastic factory ones, I am game. And I am sure many more people would be as well. Ernesto |

Even before I added 355 Challenge style aluminum pedals to my 308/QV, I wanted to change over my shift knob to polished aluminum also. I had a tough time finding any that were proper "spheres" that with the right threads, though of course I could get one in Titanium from TitaniumCavalino.com for $200.00 I did find another from ST Corsa, but theirs is lacquer coated, and I've heard from other folks that the lacquer chips and scratches after awhile and starts to look bad. I wanted plain polished aluminum, either with or without the 5-speed Ferrari shift pattern. I couldn't find any for sale! I convinced Bob Krueger of "Team Voodoo", who is perhaps the most well known maker of aftermarket shift knobs for Miatas, to make some for Ferraris. The quality is AWESOME. The level of polish is incredible, and the engraving is perfect. The feel is great, much more solid in the hand than the stock plastic knob (I guess that's why Ferrari put aluminum ones on 355s and 360s). Part of what's unique about these, is the PRICE. Can you imagine someone who doesn't charge any more for a Ferrari-specific shift knob than for the same kind of knob for a Miata? He only charges $35 for a plain polished knob in Ferrari size, and $40 if you want the 5-speed pattern engraved. Anyway, I don't get any kickbacks from sales, and I'm not associated with his business, but I just wanted to share this new availability with other Ferrari owners. If you want to check them out, they're at www.TeamVoodoo.com He doesn't have any photos of the Ferrari-specific knobs on his site (yet); below you'll find pictures of the knob in my car.
