if you wouldnt mind faxing them 813-855-0584, how long has he been working on Ferrari's, i never hear of him. i talked with the guys in Orlando, decided against that. i seen on several occasions, parts cost for a 30k service, which seem to avg $800. Most of the cost was the labor around $3000.00 if not more. Why was your labor so cheap and the parts so high ?? or was that the labor for the clutch repair ???

The previous owner had the car serviced by Mike, so it was just natural to let him handle it. Plus it is 1/3 of the distance to Ferrari of Central Florida in Orlando.

Yeah I was happy with the service. We had a problem at first where the supplier send the "new improved" head rubber gaskets, and they didn't fit very tighly so oil was leaking out. After we replaced them with the old design it has worked great.

I also had Mike replace my clutch plate assembly after the throwout bearing went bad.

From my own service log (keep an excel spreadsheet with all the repairs and costs):

Clutch Plate Assembly - replaced. Throwout bearing replaced. Flywheel resurfaced. Seals replaced. Installed new headlingts purchased.
Labor $819.50
Parts $3,264.68

It is a garage that is attached to his showroom upfront (he has some older Ferrari's on consignment).

I can fax you repair orders from the major if you want to look at them.

Ocala is horse country, but that is fitting for our prancing horses right :-)

some neat photos - who would have thought a Ferrari mechanic in Ocala (the only thing i thought was in Ocala were horses and hay) guess i was wrong - were you happy with the job ? price seems a little high - i already replaced my circuit board, so i guess that drops off 1000.00 - i live in Clearwater and was going to send my 90 TR to Ferrari of Montreal - top of the line mechanics - but of course its a bit of a trip - how did you find this guy ? and is that a barn he serviced the car in ?

Glen,

The 30k Major cost me $2,415.00 in labor and $2,970.00 in parts. With tax it was $5700. That also inluded a new circuit board upfront ($900 i think), a window switch, and a new speedo sensor.

85 Euro TR

Marcus,

PS: Alas, not in Gainesville, but lived there for many years (worked at Sound Ideas). Checking out a car near you to purchase and he was the mechanic. Need his input accordingly. Thanks again for your help.
