I have met these folks before. They are not bad. I think if you read the description you get a good feel for what you are buying. Now that somebody bids more than you are willing to pay, that is their deal. As for their description, you can not be more up front that that. They get these cars from repos and auctions. They usually are abused and not taken care of. Sitting in some bankss repo lot for months before turned over to this company. That is why you can get sometimes good deals from them. |

It looks and sounds like it needs $10K in cosmetics and $10K in mechanics. I'd pay $30K for this car, tops. |

That's true Greg they could be "stacking the deck" at bit. But it's a no-reserve auction and it could backfire on them if that's the case. But in reviewing the bid history it looks legit to me. |

They could be uping their own bids to get it to the price they want. |

Yes....I agree you'd have to be nuts to bid in the mid-forties for that car, unless you've seen it in person and feel it's worth it. There are nicer TR's on ebay that aren't getting much more money than this car! I just don't understand it. Could it be some kind of reverse-psychology? In a twisted way it makes me feel good because I didn't pay much more for my TR and it's tons nicer and newer than that one! Maybe we are seeing the TR market bottom-out and it's gonna start heading upward? |

That description is the best! Taek, you think 24 bids for that is crazy? Did you happen to see the 308 GTS shell last week, with no top, one missing and one smashed 1/4 panel, no engine, etc. that SOLD for $5300!? THAT was crazy. Brian |
