They stopped me once in IL for it. Cost me $ 10. So far no biggie. |

In IL you need a front plate too; so far I've not been stopped for it. |

P.S.: This year at the racing days you could count about 1000 Ferraris. |

This pics were taken at the Nuerburgring this year. The F40- and the F50-pic are from the Racing Days this year, when Michael Schumacher introduced the Enzo. The other pic is from the Oldtimer-Grandprix (Veteran-Grandprix), where you can see also much other exclusive cars (Lambos, Bugattis, MB CLK GTR's etc.). Next year i have to see that in real. |

If you are required to have a front plate and you leave it off you are giving the Police probable cause to stop you and search your car. In NY they do. |

At the FCA event in May last year in LA. There were 150+ cars. Only 3 F-40's and no F-50's. There are just not that many in California. I would somewhat agree on the statement about the Hollywood types but that is a broad generalization. |

Andrew, While you're probably right, some of the most important cars are also in California (John Mozart's 250GTO or Art Z's F50 GT 001) - I'd reckon there are quite a few enthusiasts in the state as well. --Dan |

I maybe wrong on this and Ansgar and correct me if I am but you'll never get this kind of turn out in CA because more than half the Ferraris are owned by Hollywood that only drive a Ferrari to look good and can't tell you the first thing about it. Where as an event like this is all Ferrari purist that love the Marquee and could tell you the history of the company better than a Hollywood star could tell you the history of July 4th (or something easy like that). |

Dan, I reckon youre probably right, although bizzarely the last time I was over there for 2 weeks in Nov I didn't see a single F car, and a lot of time was spent on the roads around LA! |

DaveE: Right on. It'll be a *big* gathering. My bet is the largest concentration of Ferraris in any one state is here in CA. --Dan |

i don't think i'd be able to handle an event like that... Too many Ferraris in one place, at one time, my brain might go into overload... |

Dear...god... That last picture of the F40s - 12 in a row, handsome and red. The euro bumper is far more handsome, too. --Dan |
