It wasn't from that article, but I've seen that car too. I remember from one of the pictures, that the owner did a real neat job of crafting a "365" logo, in the same style as the original "308". From a major job like that, to finish off with something like that is just marvelous.

It's been a while since I've seen that car, it'd be great if you could post those pics.

Peter(GT4), yes it will fit. I have a copy of Road& Track, November 1985. They have a article on a V-12 Ferrari 308 !. It was an available as a kit useing a 4.4 liter Daytona motor mounted tranversely. The 365 sump and bellhousing was adapted to the 308 transaxle. They used single cam 330/365 heads as the dohc heads did not fit under the lid. I will post some pics if I can get my scanner working properly.

They are bidding on the VIN# and the clean title. Then they take a stolen TR and do a nice swap. ebay should stop this auction.

$5K, are you kidding? It still has the red: "Reserve not yet met" banner by the price. Holy f---!

No Tim, I know it wouldn't fit even with major chassis/body mods. What I had mused about at one point was to drop in a 328 motor... but then I would miss-out on the carb sound...

You get a clean Nevada Title if you tip Jose at the DMV well....

I agree nice shifter.
I was bidding on it to up to $2K just to get the engine out of the car, clean it and display it in my office.

$5K, where do they come from with these prices. There is nothing left of that car.

Where does the "K"in the vin # come from? Should be an A for US car or "B" for euro. No?

Peter,
The same swap has occurred to me. Do you think it's really feasable? Have you ever taken measurements?

How can that thing have a clean Nevada title?

Too bad I got the engine back in my car... I think I could've made the engine out of this to fit if I got rid of my rear seats... J
